I should specify: Netflix Canada. It's separate licensing here.

Netflix Canada recently added season 2. So it's there now.

Truly unfortunate because it seems that The Walking Dead, season 3 is shaping up to be the best season yet. I hate myself for saying this but you could actually only watch episode 1 and the finale of season 2 and pick right up on three and only have missed many mentions of 'Sophia' and a lot of domestic issues with the Rick-Lori-Shane triad.

You guys are so screwed over. It tees me off massively when I try to access content in Canada. I'm totally spoiled living in the States.

Ah, the Legend of the Seeker, I thought it was a good show. The book series was SSOOOO much better. But the TV series was much more fun to watch.

V's watching that one. The Seeker one, I mean. I'm watching insofar as I'm frequently in the same room when it's on.

Not really related to the thread, but if you want to track what's on Netflix, there's a handy website to help:

David Morrissey takes control of The Walking Dead's third season as The Governor (whose real name has yet to be revealed), one of the franchise's most iconic villains. "In the comics, he has arrived at his psychological limit, is quite sadistic and is fully formed," says Morrissey. "In the show, we're meeting him much earlier in his journey, so there are more colors for me to play with."
The 48-year-old English actor — who happens to be longtime friends with costar and fellow Brit Andrew Lincoln (Rick) — has a large color palate to explore as the tyrannical ruler of the quaint and secured Southern town of Woodbury. "[David]'s played a wide variety of roles, but what he always brings is dramatic complexity to whatever role he plays," notes executive producer Gale Anne Hurd. "This is not a show where there are black-and-white characters; they are really varying shades of gray, and his may be the darkest gray."

This 3rd season has started off great. I was a bit worried after the splendid season premiere that things would start slowing down in episode 2 but thankfully that didn't happen. Looking forward to tomorrow's episode !

Can you explain what you hated about Michonne in the comics?

One thing about the TV show I've not liked though haven't yet seen, is how much they are hyping the Governor--and how they just let slip that he won't be the Governor of the comics. I don't care what they are planning for him to 'evolve' into and I really don't care that they hired a guy who wants a 'spectrum of colors' in the personality of the Governor. He either is a total freak, rapist & sadist or he's not.

As far as the female characters in the comics at times I think Kirkman really has a tin ear when it comes to writing women. They are one-note. The bitch, the warrior, the meek one. I think ten years from now I would have maybe liked his writing more. Comics for me were never about great literature however, so I can deal.

That in mind, the vast majority of The Walking Dead television show viewers have never read the comics so they have no idea what we are getting annoyed about. I'm trying not to dwell on the comics but the show seems to want to draw us into the original way the story was told, no doubt to encourage reading the comics.

Actually, it's always interesting the alternative methods that each group uses to isolate itself from the hordes.
A million ways to kill a zombie.

At least this group is smart enough to use silencers.
With zombies, they don't have to be awesome hits...a simple tag will do.

Common sense ain't that common...nor is ability to leverage a learning curve over time.
I'd think I've have it down, if I lasted over a month or so...much less several or a year.

Since it is Monday night and the episode has aired (in the US) I'm not using spoiler tags. In fact, I won't use spoiler tags unless the episode has NOT yet aired. After it airs it is no longer a spoiler. That is not weird, it's an assumption that is logical.

OK. Some really cool visuals last night but perhaps the coolest was at the very end? I've written an entire post on it but I have to code it all to be able to post the vids here (which I will do later). For now, here are a couple of screenshots:

Videos from October 28 episode 304 "Walk With Me'

Oh. It's easier than I thought to embed the YouTube code. Cool.
I love the 'making of'...vids they put out post-show. The Walking Dead, due to the extensive makeup & SFX, puts out some interesting stuff. They are really budget-conscious so they improvise constantly.

Merle is back. (Yay!) The actor who plays him is quite engaging.
