I laughed at the GI Joe shooting of that episode.

I mean yards away running shooting at zombies. Boom! Headshot!

Turn around quickly and fire off a single shot. Boom! Headshot!

Two different groups in a skirmish can't seem to hit the broadside of a barn. Governor just shooting to make noise and waste ammo.

Otherwise done good on the zombie killing.

I get the Carl hate, but he's a minor character. He's a MacGuffin.

Andrea? I don't get the Andrea hate. Now, I understand people finding her unlikable for whatever reason, but so much so to wish her dead?

She's one of the most interesting characters on a show with a large cast. Losing her would cause the show's characterization stock to drop considerably.

It's not like Carl would pick up the slack.

I gained a lot of respect for Carl this season. I know he's not the most interesting character on the show, but he's getting better.

Andrea and the conflict in her character, torn between the town and the prison. Such a great plot line. Last week's episode, the scene with her and the knife, without giving anything away, talk about tense!

Great episode. I hate how callous Rick has become, though.

It's a realistic reaction to an unreal, horrible circumstance. And it's momentary IMO, as Rick has no choice but to go on in a functional way.
It's my feeling that the further into life after the apocalypse we get the less 'emotion' people will show. Like you see in Carl and Rick, they shut a part of themselves down, emotionally. And they stay alive.

I enjoyed Lauren Cohen's character on Supernatural quite a bit as the English artifact thief.

wow... that last episode was a great way to go full circle and then show how one has to keep things clear in their heads to keep up with the horrors of the world as it stands.

I liked the ending... driving past the same place again and this time it was a little different but expected.

It was a really good episode. One of the few where I lost track of time and didn't realize it was ending.

They changed. He wasn't a threat unlike those coming into the prison. He wasn't pointing a weapon at them. He was asking for help. Clearly unarmed, basically naked and helpless.

    They drove right past him.

The characters are very different than they were in season 1 or season 2. Even Carl is different.

    Exactly! That's the twist!

They didn't. When they say him again. They stopped to take his shit. Didn't even get out the car. Stopped. Opened the door. Picked it up. Closed door. Drove off.

    Cold shit.

This was after he apologized to that other guy!!!

Might get season 3 ep. 1 tonight on itunes. I can consider it a sneak peak for the DVD set when it comes out.
Not a fan of this new itunes look, but they do offer to play videos as soon you download enough of them. Grabbing "Seed" right now, should make a good blog entry.

I know. This world has fundamentally changed them. They can neither risk picking up a stranger nor take on responsibility for another person unless they absolutely must. The orange backpack guy was just like driving by some scenery--part of the landscape. And yeah, damn cold.

Who Dies in the Season 3 Finale of The Walking Dead!? (SPOILER FREE)

With the final episode of Season 3 The Walking Dead almost upon us, questions remain about who will next die. We've already been warned that there will be a high body count, not unusual for the show, but the questions that seem most important to viewers is WHO will die?
For starters, it seems very likely that the Governor's surviving Woodbury-ians will certainly die in large numbers. Many of them have been seen but barely heard, rendering them little more than redshirts--but will Tyreese (Chad Coleman) and his sister Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) make it? Hard to say, but I'm going to guess Tyreese lives, Sasha dies.

Regarding Rick's group, sad to say, it seems that among the most painful and plausible losses would be Hershel (Scott Wilson). Now that Rick is regaining his senses, losing the voice of reason seems like something The Walking Dead showrunners would do to maximize our pain. Since Hershel, during his prayers with both daughters (to paraphrase) declared he would do anything for them, my guess is that in an attempt to save one of them, he is killed. If it is Beth (Emily Kinney), both he and she may succumb. If Maggie (Lauren Cohan), then Maggie at least, will survive. In addition to the prayer foreshadowing was his blessing of Glenn's (Steven Yeun) desire to marry Maggie and Glenn's statement to Hershel that he 'finally understood' the meaning of the pocket-watch that Hershel gave him back on the farm.

Finally, will the Guv survive? I'm going with 'yes' because he has not created enough havoc, yet. He may very well scurry off with a surviving Martinez, perhaps to take time to put together another harder, meaner version of Woodbury and may come after Rick's group at some point in season 4.
*Note that these are all guesses based on watching the show and integrating little bits from the comics; none of what I've written are in any way spoilers. Not this week, anyway. ;)
