I'm preparing for my upcoming Distillery District Labour Day Weekend show here in Toronto - I'll have a tent set up for the long weekend with some new Tree Dancers. I thought I would post whatever I manage to get done before the show. Hoping to get more than 1 or 2 done!

Fantastic stuff as usual, Kramus. I appreciate you sharing your work with us at the party, too.

Mad talent. The ability to draw people, animals and plants in the same workspace. Serious.

    Excellent detail.
Love how you played in the branches. (much better than a tree-house. :D)

Thanks Plan9 :) Even though I didn't spend much time basking in the accolades during the Toronto 2013 gathering at the Manor (to be honest, attendees were much more interested in socializing than commenting on the decor), my Lady and I find it pretty cool to see it showing in so many photos posted by folks in the relevant threads. Total ego rub o yeah.

Thanks Rogue & Cinn - My Lady wondered if I was going to do something completely different for the upcoming show. Unfortunately the time to come up with such a series just isn't there, but I do feel that (incrementally at least) the Tree Dancers are evolving. As Rogue mentions, they are becoming more open, with interaction going on within the branchings.

PM me w your details. Not sure which drawing was yours (I found a couple on the outside table once things died down - luckily they were sealed tight because the rain did manage to under the tarp eventually).

GeneticShift - tell your dear papa to get his own Tree Dancer. There is contact info on the attached business card ;)

It was nice to spread those little drawings around the group during TFP Toronto 2013. They stopped being interesting to prospective buyers after I had such initial success with them, and were slowly sinking into the mulch in my studio until I thought of giving them out to you guys. Glad you liked them :)

One of those is Lordeden 's. I just yelled at him for forgetting it. Grrrr. What does postage from Canada to the US run?

I know, right? The Toronto Meet-Up was fantastic but definitely short lived. Too little time to spend with each individual person so as to "savor the flavor." I consider myself lucky to be tossed into that mash-up. I do, however, recall many people commenting on how well-appointed the manor is and how gracious (and sexy) our host was despite being burdened with herding strange adult children all over the place. It takes a real saint to handle that kinda riff-raff for more than an hour.

Hat tip to Martian for handling both LordEden and Plan9 at the same time.

Really, that's a Perseus level task.

Smooth. I'm going to need to party with you again, Sir.

Quiet Time. Some drawings "feel" more successful than others. Sometimes that doesn't happen till the piece is done. I never really got the feeling that this one was particularly successful, unfortunately. Then again, you don't get a hit every time you come up to bat either (especially a guy like me with no depth perception, but that's for another thread). At least my Lady likes the cat.

Not a Tree Dancer, but a Whimsy based on some conversation w my Lady re a bunch of collectives we came up with once upon a time. Maybe they will get done someday, meanwhile I think I could mine the list for a few Whimsies. This thread is my current go-to for new art, hence the post :)

Thanks CinnamonGirl :) Kitties is cute (until they are so damned big you can't see into the refrigerator when they decide to get curious).

A printer will be getting a load of art card files later today. This one was originally a line drawing. I sometimes take line drawing prints and redo them with colour pencil. I've decided to use this colour version for Preflight Dragon in the art card reprint. 7" x 5"

kramus is there a website where interested but distant folk could buy some of your work?

Thanks for asking spindles :) Mods note - I'm responding, not spamming!

My website MarkFineArt.ca has a link to FineArtAmerica.com - they are a print on demand company which gives me a few bucks when somebody orders my work. Unfortunately I haven't seen their print work so quality/fidelity is an unknown. My profile page there shows what originals are available. Prices don't include shipping, and if someone wanted a piece we'd talk about the options. I have yet to set up my own store on my site.
