They're probably not *real* ferals, but just cats and dogs that have gone back to the wild.

I have many of the above listed:

    Rabbits
    Squirrels
    Chipmunks
Birds - lot of owls and a family of wild turkeys in addition to smaller birds.
    Deer
    Bear
    Wolves
    Foxes
    Bobcats
    Opposum
    Coyotes
Insects, spiders - no mice yet. Little Bob would take care of that - he destroys his toy ones. He eats flies too (yuk) - but only if he has freshly killed it - he has some discretion about what he eats. LOL

I believe either a badger or beaver is down by the river (within sight of my home). Need to check that out - people are letting their kids go down to that section of riverbank/woods - a badger will tear them up.
I think if it was a wolverine, or badger, we'd prob already know since they aren't known for being quiet about their non-stop aggressive destruction.

(My nickname is Wolverine in some circles, been told I'm small but ferocious and non-stop when on a roll...... I found it insulting at first, they are ugly and mean-looking, until an Apache friend told me that he's heard of wolverines treeing bears. Large adult bears. That's kinda cool - I like the "little guy" winning for a change LOL)

We get the geese migrating south, too, for a period of time. It's fun to watch them rest on the water, then fly away until spring.

We have a few animals and insects that are in our immediate neighbourhood and a few more that are just a short bike ride away...

Monkeys (Macaques - you have to watch they don't get into the house)
Snakes (Cobra, Green Tree, and some sort of flying snake)
    Dogs
    Cats
    Cockroaches (damn big ones!)
Rats (you can hear them at night)
    Feral Pigs (not often seen)
Some sort of deer (also not seen too often)
Birds (a bunch of different tropical ones, including a pair of cockatoos that make a lot of racket)
Squirrels (they are smaller than North American ones)
    Bats (many)
    Frogs (living in my fountain)
Turtles/Terapins (we have one that lives in our backyard but there are many to be found a short walk away)
    Gekos (kind of everywhere)
Lizards (my cat catches them, they aren't too big)
Monitor lizards (could eat my cat, don't see them around this house)
Sugar gliders (nocturnal so I don't see them as often)

And lots of bugs: spiders, earthworms, mantises, house centipedes, crickets, sprickets, fireflies, ladybugs, pillbugs, cicadas, cicada hawks, yellow jackets, honey bees, bumble bees, etc.

We live in a long-established subdivision with several major roads and quite a bit of traffic, yet still get opossums in the yard fairly regularily. Sometimes at night a screech owl drops by for a visit. A major bayou goes through the area, but we're not near it; those who are report seeing raccoons. Someone I knew quite well was bitten by one when he attempted to remove it from his yard.

I don't mind the oppossums, they don't bother me and do good job of keeping the backyard clean (see below). Unfortunately they move pretty slowly, easy prey for the dogs.

On a sort of related note--Our neighborhood is a favorite dumping area for unwanted dogs. I have to remind myself & my wife that we can't save them all. We have four dogs & one cat, all were strays.

Our house backs up on to a creek, so there is a fair bit of wildlife around even though we're in the middle of town. We get deer regularly on our street and in our yard. The deer are helpful in that they eat the windfall apples and keep my front yard relatively clean. We also have nutria, gray squirrels, opossums, and raccoons. There are a variety of songbirds and other birds that like to be around the creek. Our house is very popular with black-capped chickadees, various kinds of finches, and the scrub jays love our walnut tree. In spring, the creek is popular with ducks that have babies, so there are usually ducklings around. There are also a couple different kinds of garter snakes that live in the area, and some different varieties of frogs and toads in the creek.

We have so many squirrels around I don't even think of them as wildlife. Because our subdivision has been around so long, there is an abundance of mature oak & pecan trees; the squirrels are well-fed.

I hate monkeys being near houses ever since a monkey masturbated right in front of me and my classmate (girl). IMHO since they look a lot like us certain things they do could confuse kids very badly. They are too intelligent fearless and steal.

I looked up the other too so cute

I forgot I also have mouse and more importantly spotted salamanders twice right on our patio

Hmm I consider squirrels as wild
I had hand raised them more than once when the young one falls off
They grew, went around, found partners, one even built a nest in the thatch roof of our house. But eventually left me. I respected that because I consider them wild.

My chicken for instance goes to our neighbors when we are out of town for more than few days. My neighbors horse asks me to brush her because her owner is not around. I think the chickens and the horse are domestic.

    Does that makes sense?

Damn, I forgot the bats, frogs, turtles and lizards I've seen, just from my front porch.

Also, I think I need to count the mosquitoes as a bird around here. Sumbitches will carry you off!

I chased a wild rooster on my ride into work the other morning. It just wouldn't get off the track.

If it's in Oregon, chances are it's a frog.
