After futzing around with the demo for a bit I decide to drop the $15 on Bastion.

You all need to be playing this game. Sooner is better than later.

Downside: You'll be disappointed that your other games don't come with a narrator.

Installed Patrician 4, but haven't had much of a chance to get into it yet, enjoyed the first three in the series so no reason why this one shouldn't be a great time killer as well.

Crysis 2. Bioshock 2. Dragon Age. I don't play a lot anymore, so it takes ages to finish a game - if I don't get bored and just put it in the cupboard.

I just got Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I love it. Sadly, I missed out on playing the original Deus Ex, but I enjoyed Invisible War and Human Revolution is a step beyond. My friends keep telling me to get Bastion on steam, but I just don't have the time to juggle two games right now.

After seeing your post I checked out Kingdom Rush. Absolutely addicted. Finished the game and even paid for the premium features hoping there would be lots more levels (there isn't yet).

Any other browser games you'd recommend? Another tower defense I really liked was Plants vs. Zombies

Deus Ex: Human Revolution. All the grandeur of the first game in a shiny new package. A true sequel, unlike the abomination that was the second game. Loving it.

I'm quite glad to hear it's as good as it looked. As much as I loved the original, the interface and control scheme are a bit of a chore to handle anymore. I'm looking forward to picking up the new one here shortly.

Well, it's a flash game, but it's kind of a deep flash game as far as flame games go. Other than WoW and TF2, I've been playing a lot of Gemcraft: Labyrinth. For those of you who don't know, the Gemcraft series is a series of (currently three) tower defense games that have been around for the past few years. I think they're particularly cool both because they have a neat, game-spanning storyline and because it has a skill-based RPG-like upgrade system. I've seen a number of other TD games copy this since the first Gemcraft came out, but as far as I can find, Gemcraft was one of the first to adopt this system in the genre.

Either way, Labyrinth is the third and newest of the games. It has 169 levels with a bazillion different play modes, amulets to college, challenges to do and high scores to acquire. I highly recommend it if you want to burn your hours away blowing up tiny creeping bug-looking monsters who desperately want to absorb all your mana. P.S. Don't be intimidated by the premium content advertisements. You can complete the entire game and most of the challenges without buying it, but if you find your like the game a lot, you do get quite a bit for the whole $5 it costs to upgrade.

Just started playing Avadon: The Black Fortress on Steam, and Word of Tanks. Avadon is a stripped down Baldur's Gate type RPG, with tactical combat. And World of Tanks is just like it sounds, but I'm finding it very difficult, at least trying to play it without spending any money, as progress is very slow.

Deus Ex Human Revolution here :)

Question: Prophecy and LoganSnake ... centre of the HUD ... horizontal bar which lets you know how good your cover is ... it was in part 1 where Jenson is starting his mission with laser sight, but when the story it starts 'properly' - he's been operated on ... I get a reticule, but not that bar. Is it something I now need to upgrade to, as with laser sight? Just wondering if I've got some kind of glitch. Thanks :)

There is no horizontal bar that lets you know how good your cover is. The cover system is very static - you're either in the enemy's line of sight or you're not. The bar you're talking about is a relative aiming reticle. It will appear when you have a weapon in hand while in cover. If you're not holding a weapon while in cover, you'll have a dot in the center of the screen.

The way the aiming system is set-up is that while you have a weapon equipped in cover and you align the horizontal bar with the enemy's head (without going out of cover) until it turns red, you can pop out and fire. It will hit at that spot exactly without a need for additional aiming while you're out of cover. Especially helpful on harder difficulties.
