Major congratulations to the Seattle Seahwks! I think they proved that they aren't a "paper" team.

Edit--During the game they mentioned the 'Hawks tied the 49ers as the youngest team to appear in a SB. If the 'Hawks manage to keep the team mostly together (they're bound to lose some good players because of the salary cap and through free agency), they should have quite a few good seasons ahead of them.

Eight points? Seriously? I guess that Seattle's D really is that good.

I noticed that for the most part Peyton kept his helmet on while on the sidelines and bench. I feel cheated, I wanted to see Peyton "Poutin'" Manning pouting like only Peyton can pout.

    I need to add this:

Manning, as I expected, after the game was very gracious in defeat.

Yeah? He's was only offering it IF the Hawks blew it and lost. So you would have taken his money over letting the Hawks continue on with the win? What kind of broke ass Hawks fa are you?

How many of you cringed at :05 when the kid says "I don't know, can you?" wow. If that was at my house, he would be shopping for his own groceries going forward!

I believe that Doritos ad was the winner of a Viewer Submitted Ads contest, & won the woman a million bucks. I also like the Finger Cleaner ad from the guy is Australia, but it was probably too wierd for the masses.

On a vaguely related note......Jimmy Fallon/NBC is showing "best of" clips while he's preparing to take over as host of The Tonight Show, and last night was musical performances. Unfortunately he only showed a brief part of the first Tebowie performance (the better of the two IMO), & none of the second. I turned off the TV as soon as Justin Timberlake appeared (What is the fascination with him?).

I saw the ad with the Full House guys, that was well done. Didn't see anything commercial wise and damn little of the game itself. Getting the sleep that was available to me was far more valuable . I did see the last touchdown scored, sad statement if Denver could not score in the 12+ minutes I think was left when that happened. The Broncos were playing horrid defense in the brief bit I did see.

I had to crack up at some of the celebration videos I saw from Seattle. One or two showed people lighting fires in the street or being stupid.

But most of them looked like the politest bunch of revelers I'd ever seen after a championship. :p One video actually showed everyone on the sidewalks yelling and cheering across the street from each other. They finally all rushed together to cheer and dance around.............buy only after they got the green for the crosswalk!! First time I'd seen that before in a wild celebration. :p
