Extensive Steam collection notwithstanding, I don't do a lot of PC gaming these days. My leisure time is pretty limited right now, and for what little I have I seem to have settled on lounging on the couch with a PS3 controller in hand as my preferred way of consuming digital interactive entertainment.

I signed up to Playstation Plus not so long ago, mostly on the strength of the Instant Game Collection and because it's all of $50 per year, which is a pretty trivial amount of money. Right now I'm playing Tomb Raider, which was included.

I was never a huge fan of the original franchise, but I do like adventure games and it seemed up my alley so I thought I'd give it a try. In the first ten minutes, poor Lara's nearly drowned, fallen twice, been concussed, burned, and impaled by a piece of rebar. I feel like I've stumbled onto the Torture Porn edition. Hopefully things improve for our plucky protagonist, but I've got a sinking feeling that they won't.

What about you? What are you playing?

Since discovering that I can play more modern games, with modern graphics, on a big screen TV (with short breaks every hour or so), I've been rocking the Xbox 360. I beat Oblivion a few months ago, and got Skyrim last week.

I'm really terrible at combat, to be honest. I've somehow managed to get up to level 13 and not die too much. The thing that took some getting used to, though, was I grew up on old-school Sierra games, where one of the base rules is, "pick up anything that isn't nailed down." That is NOT a good idea in the Elder Scrolls games.

I've been busy and traveling a lot for work lately, as well as catching up on Game of Thrones. But in the time I do get to play, I've been playing Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns (FFXIII-3). The whole 13 series got a bad rap, but I've honestly enjoyed them, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the series wraps up.

Bravely Default just arrived in the mail today. I've played the intro and it's interesting so far.

My progress in Tomb Raider continues apace. I played a bit more this afternoon. Things got worse for Ms. Croft.

@Martian , while I haven't played that particular LC game, I did watch a Youtuber play the whole thing. Pretty damn good game, imo.

As for myself, I've been playing Skyrim almost non-stop for a month now. I'm almost lvl. 48, and I just got to lvl. 99 in my Sneak. Also, I'm halfway through the Thieves Guild questline.

Oh yeah, I got a free Lara Croft arcade game on Xbox Live that me and my buddy play co-op on.
Don't remember the exact title offhand, but the secondary character you play as is an old Mayan Shaman. (or whatever they were called)
It's a fun game that can be hilarious and frustrating at the same time. Especially with my friend, who likes to wait till I'm walking across Lara's tightrope over a great height (or spike pit) and let me fall to my death.

    Good times.

Arkham Origins. The Deathstroke boss fight is one of my favorite (and most frustrating in a good way) boss fights ever.

Still a big fan of fallout 3 and fallout new vegas. Playing fallout 3 again. Forza motorsport 4, borderlands 2 and I need to get titanfall. My only concern with that is it's strictly multiplayer and I tend to stick to story lines. Though I heard that there are missions to work through online.

Titanfall has me seriously considering a Microsoft console. I don't know if I could justify buying an XBone for just one game though, so I'll probably do without.

My husband has been hogging the Xbox 360 with Thief. It looks pretty good, if you like sneaking around a lot.

I watched the trailer. It didn't look that good at a glance. Is he enjoying it?

Understood. My stepmother got it for me for Christmas. And I used to play games on the pc, but the consoles make it so much easier. The 360 has been out for what,7 years? How many pc upgrades would I have needed? So it is nice being at the front edge of the gaming curve right now. Especially at 1080p on a 42 inch screen. With a pair of paradigm studio 20s and a 12 inch home theater sub. Mmm. When I stand too close to the tv with a first person perspective like fallout, I find myself swaying with turns. Hard to get that immersed on a monitor.

I'm not much of a console gamer anymore, but two weeks ago I played and really really REALLY enjoyed Beyond: Two Souls on the PS3. I borrowed it from my SO, and am already itching to borrow it again and play it all over. :D

GeneticShift Show me your everything is okay face.

I've been replaying Portal 2 for like, the 10th time. For me, it has a lot of replay value, since I still don't have all the chambers memorized, and the voice acting makes me want to play over and over again.

Plus, since I don't have a lot of time outside of school and work right now, it's nice to be able to pick up an enjoyable game with natural stopping points every 15 minutes.

I have an obscene amount of time into Bravely Default right now, especially considering how constrained my leisure time is at the moment.

If you own a 3DS you need to own this game.

I played Bioshock Infinite a few months ago. I never played Bioshock and Bioshock II, and just started Bioshock. Infinite had the most compelling story line I have ever experienced in a video game. I am a few hours into Bioshock and plot seems to be developing slowly - I am actually getting a bit bored. Does it get better further into the game? Since I played Infinite first is that going to spoil some of the plot lines? Has anyone played the Burial at Sea, DLC for Infinite - the reviews are a bit lackluster.

I am really looking forward to the new Dragon Age, Witcher and Assassin's Creed games - those three will force me to buy an Xbox One - the previews look excellent.

Bioshock features what I'd call a slow build. Infinite is the same but gets to the point a bit faster. It's worth toughing out the first few hours to get to the good part, I think. The plots are almost entirely unrelated, so having played Infinite first isn't all that relevant; if anything you may recognize some of the references that Infinite made as you go along.

I picked up Burial At Sea but haven't done more than the intro yet. The little bit that I've done wasn't bad, but I haven't found the time to really dig in yet.

I have played bioshock through several times. I never finished infinite, but did enjoy it overall. Titanfall is my big time suck now. I have enjoyed that game a lot. What is rare for me is that I actually seem to be ok at it, which is rare for me for a multiplayer fps. I usually get my ass handed to me. I have even finished top in points on one or two matches. The storyline is so freaking useless in titanfall though. Its all about the combat.
