I combed through the forums and couldn't find a thread for posting random quotes.
We all have favorites be they from writers, politicians, rock stars or porn stars.

    I'm partial to:

    Dorothy Parker

“The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.”

    Oscar Wilde

"Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood."

    Harlan Ellison

"In my ugly, elitist opinion we are not all entitled to voice our opinions, we are entitled to pass along our informed opinions."

What are some of your favorites?

From Desdireta. Now attributed to Max Ehrmann, which has been disputed.

"You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here."

Edit--Not exactly a quotation, but I'm leaving it.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. —Robert Heinlein

I kept a quote book in high school...I think I still have it around somewhere. There's somewhere between 800-1000 quotes in there, I think.

One that has stuck with me since I read it ~15 years ago...

I'll chip this in as an extra:

The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars,
As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven
Would through the airy region stream so bright
That birds would sing and think it were not night.
See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand!
O, that I were a glove upon that hand,
That I might touch that cheek!
