Ditto on the bike shop and budget yourself enough to get a good one.
At least twice if not three times what you spent on the department store bike.
If you can't afford that, look into a good used bike.
A lot of bike stores carry them and have really good ones.

I got my bike from a guy who also sells used books in his shop. He's still around, but he relocated.

In other news, I just set up oatmeal stout beef brisket in the slow cooker--8 hours in the pot. My veganism is now a distant memory.

    "The" Canadian accent.

That's like my calling someone and [sic] Texas and saying, "OMG! The American accent is so cute!" ;)

    Y'all talk that that, right?

There is a place down the street from me if you're interested. A nice pub at the corner for many hours of happiness, too.

Yes, actually. You'll likely find all kinds of typos in my posts from the past two weeks. Look forward to more over the next two!

GO WINGS. I guess this means I need to get drunk for every playoff game. I can live with that.

Chatted up a very pretty lady this morning at the pet store...had my dogs with me, so I worked the "cute puppy" angle.
(although my younger one was in hyper adventure mode, so it made coordination and concentration a challenge "what's that, what's that, what's that...)

Started off nice and cheerful...but the conversation faded after a few.
She wasn't giving as much as I was to the banter.
I need a click to happen.
I'm not a player who's looking for the pursuit and conquest...needs to go two ways. (comfortable & easy also, if you're pushing, it's not right)

Good practice though, she was "up there" so it made it a bit of a ego boost for the attempt.
I'm so out of the game, it's taking time for my momentum to gain.

Need to make some adjustments to my life to make myself feel comfortable about bringing someone into it.
Getting there, should be there around the end of Spring.

My mom knows how to fold fitted sheets. That automatically makes her a badass.

You know what I think the problem is? The forum software does autocorrections rather than tell me I had a typo. When it autocorrects to something wrong, I may miss it, especially if I'm in a rush. I wish it would just tell me of a spelling error instead of trying to think for me.

It almost happened to me again this morning. :D

I cannot fold fitted sheets for the life of me. I end up frustrated and just flatten them as best I can. Kudos to your mom, my mom, and anyone else who can.
