Our yellow lab doesn't like to get his feet wet. That's not a surprise to us because my F&MIL had a yellow lab with sensitive feet, and we had a black lab that didn't like to swim. He doesn't like to go out on the wet grass (we had a lot of rain recently) in the back yard, but he'll stand on the brick patio to pee for what seems like two minutes. He ends up standing in a pool of his own pee.

Glad I decided to download this particular anime, as I'm not a premium member at Crunchyroll, so I can't stream on my tablet. Though my husband will watch almost anything animated, I'm pretty sure a romance is out of the question. He wouldn't be bothered by the guy on guy aspect of it at all--just the romance.

So I'll watch it on my tablet while he plays GTA V.

That's funny since labs have always been the go to dog for running out in the swamp to get the duck you just shot.
When we would go hunting my friend had to two yellow labs that he had trained to retrieve and they would go anywhere to get back the birds.
    They were amazing, smart dogs.

Labs are amazing dogs. Once you get past the first two puppy years, during which they will chew anything they can a hold of. I read Marley & Me, and not once was surprised at what Marley got into. Our black lab & weimaraner mix was the worst about chewing up things, even worse than our full blood black lab.

Now I really miss my family's dog. He was a black lab/Greyhound mix. He was a beautiful, sleek dog--so very, very fast at times, and incredibly lazy at others. He was convinced he was a lapdog...an 80-lb. lapdog.

When my cats were young and still living with my parents, he was their nanny. He barked any time they did anything he perceived as wrong; as a result, they grew up very well-trained for cats. After my cats had moved in with me again, my parents came to visit and brought the dog; the cats hadn't seen him in about a year, so I wondered how they would react. Both of them, when they saw him, walked straight up to him and head-butted him right in the nose, a couple minutes apart from each other. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Initially, when he was a puppy, he did not care for the water. He then met my godfather's dogs on a beach trip. My godfather has always had labs of some kind as he is an avid duck hunter. Of course, those dogs were content to be in the water anywhere, so when faced with a creek on a trail, they just dashed right through it. Our dog stared at them for a moment before he decided that was apparently Normal Dog Behavior, and went after them. He never had a problem swimming after that, and even when he was older, I would throw tennis balls into the bay for him, since it was one of the things he could do easily still.

We had a border collie mix who was a great cat herder, at least when the cats were kittens. As they got older they learned to split up and go off in two diffferent directions. The dog would also sneak up on squirrels, just like you see border collies do when working sheep.

Baby cuddles are wonderful, and toddler cuddles are magical.

My husband's childhood dog was a border collie/Australian shepherd mix. Smiley was apparently very adept at herding children.

When we get a dog, that's what we want--either a border collie mix of some kind, an Aussie mix of some kind, but preferably both together. I'm flexible as we want to get a shelter dog first and foremost.

Hungry and beyond tired at this point. One hour of sleep is good since yesterday morning right? Food sounds far less important right now compared to crashing with netflix in the background.....
which reminds me, I might actually boot to Windows again soon. Starting to think that the Adobe products are the main reason I have that installed on the laptop still. I can watch Netflix on ubuntu and use WINE for the adobe suite, but that is something I have no desire to do. Already tried and rejected the first one (easier and smoother to reboot to Windows) and see the point I just made for trying to run Photoshop /Lightroom/Dreamweaver/etc on linux.

Why yes, we are the kind of people who wear Blazers shirts on game days.

(Half of my t-shirt collection is sports shirts...the other half is beer shirts...I wonder what that says about me...)

Spent the afternoon making venison sausage, snack sticks, and jerky with my hunting buddy and his family. Good times. Stanley was extremely excited to have company, per usual he assumed they were here solely to see him.

Stanley knows that working with the venison was just the excuse they gave you to spend time with him.

All of our dogs & cats, with the exception of the full blood black lab, were/are strays that we either found, or got from someone who found them.

I think I'll spend the first part of the morning lounging, drinking coffee, and reading porn.

    Priorities.

Include jumping your hubby, or at least masturbating (why not both?), and you'll have a great morning.
