Oh good. The effort wasn't a complete waste.

    Right?

I'm sitting here debating with myself as to which fun project I want to start on my last day of vacation. I didn't get around to either of them. I didn't write much, either. I should have spent less time marathoning BL anime. Oh well. Guess I'll just have to spend time on my fun projects in the evenings. I'm also trying really, really hard to be patient for my new favorite manga to be scanlated; a new chapter came out last week.

Does it say something about me that I knew the punchline was going refer to "keeps your mouth shut."?

I love Stanley Elkin. His novella, The Living End, is one of my favorite books.

A few days after Christmas my wife and I found ourselves in a sex shop. She bought me a Fleshlight and I bought her a wireless vibrating egg with a remote. Here's to an orgasm-filled 2015. :)

I guess the temperatures being below zero mean it is time to put the bike up on the stand and make room to have my SUV in the garage. Bleh.

I just realized that I edited eight books last year.

That's on top of all the other stuff (editing shorter things, proofreading other books, etc.).

    Holy shit.

    Super relevant for today:

It's hard to choose a favorite among so many great tracks, but "The Greatest Love of All" is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since, Elizabeth, it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on the album.

You don't have a hoverbike yet? If they have hover cars then they surely have that for motorcycles as well right?
Wait a minute, maybe Back to the Future was a tad premature on that one.....At least we know there will be another Jaws sequel this year.

Last night I saw The Running Man movie (1987) for the first time. While it certainly wasn't a good movie, the messages rang true (media bias, law enforcement cover-ups, bullshit "reality" TV, screwed-up judicial system, cage fighting, etc.).
