I only watched the fourth quarter, I know little about football, but I do remember someone's adage about the forward pass: Three things can happen with a forward pass, and two of them are bad.

    Sic transit...;)

There's a guy I've "known" from another forum for 10+ years who has also had some less-than-stellar interactions with him and felt the same way.

It's a shame, because his on camera personality is engaging. Just goes to show you that what you think you see isn't always what you get.

Another reason why I try very hard not to idolize individual athletes.

    Very true.

But to throw a pass into the "gut" instead of out to a corner just didn't seem all that smart to me. Of course had it worked who ever called it would be a hero rather than goat he's currently being labeled

One of our "better" local sportscasters, Bob Allen, mentioned the Falcons record during the "alleged" piped in crowd noise, commenting that it didn't help them.

ARTHUR BLANK THE OWNER OF THE FALCONS ADMITTED TO PIPING IN CROWD NOISE AND EVEN SAID THAT IT DIDNT HELP ANYTHING. ON A LOCAL SPORTS TALK RADIO SHOW YESTERDAY HE WAS QUOTED AS SAYING THAT THEY WERE GOING TO FIND OUT ANYWAY, WHY HIDE IT. HOPEFULLY JUST A FINE

Hey ralphie what's with the all caps? We don't normally do that around here. Least most folks don't.

As a panthers fan I find this funny because we played for the south title in Atlanta week 17 and if I remember correctly we won by roughly 30 points and the Falcons had several penalties due to their own "crowd noise."

You were responsible for the added crowd noise during that game? Shame on you! :p

Yes, I can see that you probably meant to hit reply on Tully Mars' post.
