They're just as fickle as the American public is. (both populations confuse the Europeans...then again, they frustrate the US...so it all goes around)

Russian shoppers are buying everything they can—before the ruble collapses completely.

However, I don't understand how they can be polling popular for Putin...is this a "skewed" poll by the establishment, which has a much more state controlled media than most post-industrial nations,
or is this more like the "support the Strong leader" mindset you often see in the US. (especially amongst conservative individuals when a conservative is in charge)

Why would you be voting for a guy that put you into a mess??

Then again, I don't understand how you can be pissed at a guy who's presided over a economy save and major growth. (so there's that)

There often seems to be a disconnect between the masses and what actually is going on and the real trends.

Maybe they're just used to it...

It blows my mind how many things that totally appear to be manipulated by him can be dismissed simply by denials of involvement. It is scary to think how far it'll have to go before it stops.
