We've been wanting, and sometimes need, a small toaster/oven/broiler. We basically only cook for two, and also there are times when having a second regular (not microwave) oven would come in handy. This afternoon I bought a used Euro-Pro that is a toaster, broiler, convection oven, & a rotisserie. It doesn't have the rotisserie attachment, but for $10.00 I'm not complaining.

Vintage lodge is the best, especially my three notch fire ring 10" skillet. Found that piece at a yard sale for 5 bucks, old lady said she had since the 30s, and I don't believe she ever cleaned it much.

The broiler in the Euro-Pro is definately low heat, took a long time to broil a couple of chicken breasts, and they weren't even the huge ones from "growth hormone" chickens. The convection oven seems to work fine, at least it did on a couple of baked potatoes.

Does anyone have a spiralizer? If so, what kind and would you recommend it? I'm looking for one ahead of summer zucchini influx.

I have a really shitty hand-crank one. Make sure you read ALL of the reviews.... I also had another one where you turn the vegetable, rather than any part of the spiralizer. I've never found a good one. :(

Someone we know reviews kitchen gadgets & utensils for a blog. She was complaining about the flimsiness of whisk, it didn't perform well in thick liquids. My wife pointed out to her it's flexible intentionally and also coated, designed to protect the non-stick coating in pans once the liquid is in the pan. It's not designed to whisk liquids in a measuring cup, mixing bowl, etc.

If you could post which one you have, I'd appreciate it, so I can avoid it! ;)

There is a guy I "know" from another forum who is a chef and owns his own higher-end restaurant.

He suggested a knife for me, so I just ordered......err, my wife just bought for me for our anniversary after I told her it's what I wanted......this knife:

Gyuto knife | Kurouchi Japanese analog of western chef's knife

I got a custom ebony handle. It's shipping from Japan today. :)
