Yeah, I just suffer through my annoyance when I need waterproof. And default to the Eye Brightening whenever possible. The waterproof is so... gloopy.

Yeah. The regular Full Exposure isn't, at all. :(

Ulta took back both the Full Exposure waterproof and the Stila Stay-All-Day liquid lipstick I didn't like without issue. Yay. I was so disappointed because that was like $42 in midrange makeup that basically sucked balls.

Good to know. So if I buy something that makes my eyeballs swell up they'd consider a refund?

It's their policy, actually! You can return anything, even opened product, for a full refund within 60 days with receipt. Without receipt, you get store credit.

Hey everyone; I think there are natural products all around us that we use them for anything else but for our skin.

There are a lot of natural products I wouldn't put on my skin. Some examples of natural remedies that actually damage skin: lemon juice, lime juice, and baking soda. Lemon and lime juice both burn skin, and baking soda changes the pH the other way; it's too basic. Tumeric doesn't damage skin but it will stain it.

I'll stick with the products I have that have the right pH to be effective and not damaging or harmful.

Much happier with my new purchases... [IMG]

Changed the color pallette, too. Benefit mascara and Smashbox 3D kohl liner in Violetta. Almay trio for hazel eyes to add in a little purples and greys rather than the yellows or pinks and brown tones.

What were you using before on your eyes? You might look at the Naked Basics 2 for a matte, cool-toned small palette. Pretty much everything else in Urban Decay's lineup palette-wise is warmer, though they say "neutral." The Naked Basics 2 is good for a grayer, basic look. MAC would also be a good option. I tend to stay away from drugstore shadows because I find the color payoff isn't worth what I paid for it.

Also, are you using a primer at all? I'm addicted to Urban Decay's Potion Primer in Eden, mostly because the yellow makes me look awake and cancels out a lot of the purple around my eyes. The original is also good. LORAC's primer is too tacky for my tastes. Like, sticky tacky. I found it hard to work with under a variety of shadows (including LORAC's own).

So far I'm at 4 whole products I can use.
Eyeshadow: Almay. Maybelline changed their formula.
Liner: Almay, Neutrogena, and the kohl liner from Smashbox.
Mascara: The three Smashbox options, one from Neutrogena, one from Almay, and now the Benefit "They're real!", which makes me giggle.
Lip stuff: my husband's lip balm, hemp balm from The Body Shop and an ancient Maybelline lip gloss they don't make any more.
Oh, and I use the unscented beard oil my husband makes as a moisturizer.

My reactions to products vary from swelling to itching to burning to rashes. It's not just allergies, it's 5 years in adolescence of retin-a type products and Accutane a few years ago. I've tried the Naked line on the back of my hand and got a rash. Urban Decay was red and burning on my wrist. I was so excited that the Smashbox liner and mascara worked that I popped on some eyeshadow from a free gift, with out thinking. I had to pull off the interstate at a rest stop 10 minutes later because my upper lids were so swollen to my eyebrows that it was difficult to see. Hawt. Mess. yo.

Yes, patch testing is certainly important.

So basically you're saying that your moisture barrier on your skin is damaged. That sucks. I have one patch that is still a little from adolescence. Using Hada Labo serum and Aquaphor helped a lot. Since I redid my skincare routine a couple years ago, my irritation has gone down a lot (yay).

Yeah, I guess that's it. I also have a lot of contact allergies to minerals, lanolin, glycerin I certain products, latex derivatives (just guess how I found THAT out for sure, ha ha), etc. It's gotten really fun playing with colors within the products I know I can use. :)

I think I can finally relax about the Benefit mascara. Works great, makes my eyes water for a little while, but not too bad. You can see the difference between one eye with and one without.
