The Walking Dead

Yeeeah, everyone just bailing out of Alexandria on separate missions was pretty amateurish. They gave up their tactical advantage of having a well-fortified defensive position and basically just went wandering outside with their dicks in the air with no plan whatsoever.

1) Carol doesn't need anyone to save her. No need for Rick and Morgan to chase after her.
2) Daryl thinking he can wipe out Negan's gang with is crossbow and knife was also stupid. And now a bunch of people are at risk because of his actions because they felt compelled to follow him.

I haven't read the comics but everyone keeps saying how bad stuff is about to go down. Oh well, fuck it. Rick and his gang started acting like amateurs and now they'll have to pay the price.

 

DAMMIT. IT'S STILL NOT CARL.

 

Hopefully it was Eugene or Aaron. Eugene had a nice little farewell talk with Rick and Aaron's character hasn't really been important. Would have been a good opportunity to get rid of Tara too.

 

I don't think it will be a basic character like Aaron or Eugene. I would be disappointed if was. Negan is a HUGE villain in the comics and his appearance on the show was heavily anticipated. He will kill an important character like Daryl or Glenn. People don't want to see a season one character that has made it this far die, but they don't want them to have a boring death either. If Daryl dies...it has to be by someone like Negan. Aaron or Eugene can die by a zombie or a henchmen. Don't waste a Negan kill on them.

 

I'm going with Glen. That's what my son thinks.

 

It probably is. :-( I did think Abraham though too. He was just too optimistic with Sasha for me to be comfortable. In the comics, Abraham is already dead by this point. Denise's death was the way Abraham died in the comics. I think Abraham is worthy of a Negan death.

I thought it could be Daryl because he's more of a right hand man to Rick in the show. However, I think the story between Dwayne and Daryl needs to be finished. Why was Daryl only shot in the shoulder?

 

I don't thnk it will be daryl, he has an axe to grind with the skinny guy who has his cross bow. im thinking its more Abraham (the strong one) or Eugene ( the weak one). they cant kill off glen, hes gonna be a daddy

 

Well, I haven't read the comics but I've heard the second death went down like in the comic.
It's a damn shame. I enjoyed both characters.

It was so unnecessarily graphic that my stomach actually jolted.

And, I used to watch a lot of Japanese horror films.

I still feel very unsettled and unsure if I want to continue the season, if it is going to be this graphic.

 

First off, I thought it was great. I don't think that level of violence will be kept up. I think they wanted a big payoff for leaving us with a cliffhanger. If you listened to the producers on the talking dead, they even said they weren't sure if they were going to be able to get away with it (the violence). They also said the next episode is actually funny.
The other important aspect is that Neegan is his own character. He's not the governor. He's not the faceless wolves. He is a calculating, smart, brutal man. And his character needed a strong introduction. He had a very visceral introduction to into the series. And I think it was important. People (viewers and the characters) are not going to forget who Neegan is. And the only way Neegan was going to get submission from the group was to break Rick. Frankly, I was disappointed when he stopped Rick from cutting off Carl's arm.

 

I can't find anything showing that we're going to continue to get TWD reruns on free TV. Channel 20 here usually makes a big deal out of announcing the "new" episodes, and I haven't (yet?) seen that.

No biggie, actually. I'm starting to think the TWD--at least the TV series--either needs a major boost with really great stories, which perhaps has happened, or needs to consider wrapping it up.

 

I've been calling AMC (channel 32 here) The Walking Dead Channel. It shows repeats almost 24/7. I can't see it ending.

 

When Negan first started clobbering Abraham with the bat, I thought : "Phew, at least it wasn't Glen."

All the people who read the comics have been spoiling it for the rest of us that Glen was going to die eventually, so I thought we had dodged a bullet.

But no. Damn you Daryl Dixon. Damn you.

Too bad Negan couldn't have cleaned out some of the boring characters like Aaron or Eugene.

I'm not sure if we're still getting TWD re-runs on free TV. And for some reason I've lost interest.
