This thread is nearly four days old, had zero responses until this one, & 38 (?) views.

This thread is redundant; the candidates have been and currently are being trashed in a couple of other politics threads.

True. Redundant. I never know what will take off and what won't.

Why do all the typing when they can and do trash themselves?
In all seriousness, though, I am voting for Hillary. I don't think she is the lesser of two evils. People just like saying that. I think she will be an ok president. Better than Donald could ever hope to be. Better than any republican offering. And more experienced than anyone who was running in any party. And that experience counts in my book. So I am glad that she is the democratic presidential candidate and the future president of the United States of America.

    Not trashing Trump directly
    BUT...

I can predict what may happen to him if he loses.
    He will become a target.

Right now, many are holding back because he is a candidate.
    Afterwards...
Tons of businesses will drop him (and refuse to work with him)
Tons of prosecutors will go after him for everything revealed during the campaign. (the only thing will help is statues of limitation)
    Books will be written
    His business will be slammed.
His rep will be slammed even more.
He'll be hit in so many different ways, he'll be punch drunk. (and may need to REALLY declare bankruptcy, not just for a tactic)
That new hotel will be called a security risk (due to the variety of supposed russian connections)
    Etc and so on...

Whether for reasons true or false...
If you look like a winner, people ignore your issues.
But if you're declared a loser, people will pay attention those concerns like stink on shit.

He will likely regret going for US president.
There's a reason why so many players are risk adverse to doing it...
    To lose has impact.

    We'll see if I'm right.
    One that he loses.
Two if he becomes a target.

I would like to see Trump brought down.

I don't think it will happen. He will wage a war of words with Clinton, if she wins. He will work with the folks at Fox and other republican/right wing media outlets to attack her worse than he (and they) have already done to Obama.

The country will slide into even more divisiveness.

I'm hoping that the "protest" voters supporting Trump now will come their senses before the election, i.e. realize that Trump as POTUS would be a disaster.

I'm not sure it's possible for the Republicans and the right wings media loudmouths to give Clinton a harder time than they have and do Obama. But the Us vs Them partisanship will, at the very least, continue unabated.

This is EXACTLY what I said (well, not the words but the opinion...and I wrote it elsewhere)
    LINK

Again, WHY did it take them this long???
    WHY even consider supporting him?

I'm not opposed to conservative values or policy...but I knew enough how toxic this guy was from the start.
Who did you get into bed with??
NOW you're pulling a Coyote Ugly??

Hate to say it...but even now they won't dump him.
Only way they'd do it is if he did murder...or found out he was gay.

The self-inflicted civil war within the Republican Party is reaching critical mass.

Tomorrow's debate and the next few days should be like nothing we've seen in recent presidential campaigns.

The phrase "selling your soul" is very appropriate here.

Does Trump realize that Bill Clinton is not the Clinton running against him for POTUS?

Is there anybody on his campaign team who told him it was a bad idea to attempt to cover his stupidity by dragging Bill Clinton into it? Not to hold the press conference with the four women because it would only draw more attention to a bad situation for him?

Is Trump so delusional that he thinks dismissing his comments as "locker-room banter" that "took place many years ago."? Eleven years was not that long ago, and Trump was not some young & clueless kid.

BTW this' just another straw from Trump. On it's own, it could be explained--weakly--as simply a moment of stupidity. The accumulation of straws clearly show Trump to be an egocentric and egotistical megalomaniac.

He doesn't even realize that one junior Senator of 100 Senators of one Congressional Branch, in a minority party with a sitting opposition President cannot change everything in just 8 years.
(BTW, first lady,8 years, is not an appointed politician...Secretary of State, 4 years, doesn't make laws...8+8+4 = 20 NOT 30 years. even if you were counting them all. No math needed for 0 taxes, I guess  )

    If he's not lying.
    He's exaggerating.

I heard on the news--passing by the TV so I don't have the details--that Trump threatened retaliation against the Republican congressman and senators who 'abandoned' him. If true, that's a very stupid thing to say given his lack of support in the party. Does he not realize that pretty much anything he would want to do as POTUS has to go through the legislature?

    This is The WTF campaign.
Everytime I think it can't get worse...
    Trump's new normal

The scary part for me is there is supposedly 40% of the country willing to vote for him...still.
    How???

And we have to live with this...40% that agrees with insanity.
