I can't read your profile to tell if today is your BD.

Tonight will be pinto beans (they've been soaking for around 18 hours so far). We didn't have any more ham bones, and I refuse to pay .99 (and up) per pound for a just a damn ham bone. So I bought some cheap bacon to chop up & throw in.

If my wife doesn't feel like cooking cornbread (from scratch), I'll fry some cubed potatoes with onion, garlic, salt, & pepper.

We ate good tonight, my son did the cooking. He opened up the fridge and fried every leftover with potatoes onions and eggs. Hash, it was great and I doused it with Louisiana hot sauce.

Last night was another version of "Alpo."

Cut up leftover baked chicken mixed in with heated Cream of Chicken soup (Campbell's Healthy Request) that I thinned with with some milk. Served over noodles that were boiled with frozen mixed veggies.

    Ramen!
    High Five!
High Five Ramen is the most amazing thing I've put in my belly in a long time. I'm currently in a bit of a food haze/coma.

How was that? I've heard multiple people now talking about it, but I've yet to get up there.

Last night: JIB. My wife had to work late, we didn't have enough leftovers for two, and cooking that late at night didn't appeal to me. My grilled chicken club sandwich was actually pretty good.

Tonight: Some from-what-part-of-the-pig-were-these-cut ? pork chops. I plan to smother 'em in seasonings, maybe even use some Cream of Mushroom soup, and bake 'em.

Oh damn. You gotta try it. Hubs is from Texas and has deemed this the best smoked meat outside of Texas. Love it. Plus, ramen in the basement!
