Yep, I saw it and let out a little squee.
I had hoped she might show up in person or that Coulson would come to check out what all the ruckus was about but no such luck.

I am still thinking about Luke Cage.

I don't have an issue with the slower bit per se, but I think the series was not without issues.

    1) The villains were a little staid. I thought Cottonmouth was excellent and even nuanced. Nowhere near as good as Kingpin or Kilgrave
    2) It took Cage too long to heal, it felt like 25% of the series, he was healing.

    Good things:
    1) I want more Misty Knight!
    2) I loved how Black the series was, and wanted it to be even moreso.

I think the healing part was also meant as a way of getting us into his back story so that was how we met the scientist who made him and a bunch of other spoiler stuff that I won't go into.

Speaking of spoilers, when is it OK?

My personal policy is if the content is available, I give a warning, then I go. In the case of Luke Cage, tho I have not watched the entire series, I'm still reading the reviews which include spoilers. I'm really enjoying learning more about the character as I only met him in Jessica Jones. Since Jessica, I've read about the Luke Cage comic-book character but only intend to watch the Netflix version of him.
Since I have little-to-no background on Cage, spoilers don't have any context so don't bother me at all, I just read past them.

In the age of binge-watching, I'm wondering, is it time to change how we treat spoilers?

I also have to wonder if the second bath made Luke stronger (as per the comic books). In which case Judas bullets are useless.

I wanted that to be tested as well.

[ spoiler ] What you want to write without the spaces [ /spoiler ]

IIRC it was Baraka_Guru who posted how to use Spoiler.

I've never tried Spoiler when posting by cell phone.

    I hope that this works

Luke Cage is, IMO, the best of the Marvel series so far-- and I have loved every series they've brought out. Brilliant acting, writing, direction-- everything. Mike Colter and Simone Missick absolutely embodied Luke Cage and Misty Knight-- some of the truest character work in the whole MCU. And it was great to see a quality action drama with a cast of almost all people of color, with a little real addressing of black issues in modern urban life.

I'd like to acknowledge Frank Whaley's performance as Scarfe in Luke Cage.
I've always been an admirer of his acting. In recent years he has played some corrupt people and I've never cared for his bad-guy characters as much as I have about Scarfe and his portrayal of him.
    Damn good job, imo.

One of the things that I liked was how Misty was still loyal to Scarfe even after she knew he was corrupt. Not loyal in the way that she would have covered up for him but loyal to the man who backed her up when no one else would, the man who she knew had lost a son in the most gruesome way possible and blamed himself. That was touching and damned good writing.

Just finally finished Luke Cage! I'd heard from more than a few people that it was the weakest of the Marvelshows, but I liked it alot! The general vibe of it felt like a Shaftmovie to me, in a very good way. The musicportions took me by surprise, because it felt so far off the "formula" of the other marvelshows, but it was a nice touch to it.
The way a superstrong, indestructible person still can have problems fighting badguys was great. I liked the three main villains, so different but really good as a "combined threat". Nice nods to the comic, and
I LOVED Diamonback's costume in the final fight!

I'ts getting really hard to rank the Marvel shows, but I still think Daredevil 1 and JJ were slightly better. Maybe because their villains were amazing?

    Update on Marvel's Defenders:

"Marvel's upcoming Netflix-exclusive ensemble series The Defenders will debut this summer.

Confirmation of the show's summer 2017 debut comes by way of Entertainment Weekly, who recently visited the set in Brooklyn where filming for the first group scene that unites Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil), Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Danny Rand (aka Iron Fist) was underway."

I loved Luke Cage! Watched it week by week, enjoyed the hell out of it. But, I had similar issues with Luke Cage the show as I did with Jessica Jones with the pacing bogging down at times. Also, it was impossible for me not to compare Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple with Simone Missick as Misty Jones. I felt that Missick was unconvincing as Misty and Dawson much more assured and believable.

Mahershala Ali as Cornell Stokes a/k/a "Cottonmouth" was truly memorable as was Theo Rossi as Shades. Very effective, entertaining bad guys, I thought.

I've seen Luke Cage summed up as having a great cast, great music, great characters but poor writing, directing and editing and I have to agree.
