Groups that literally want US to be taken over by Mexico?

Please help me to wrap my mind around some statements made by my husband, who has a new passion for reading alt-right reporting.

What are the groups, within the US, that are actively trying to give the US to Mexico?

Aside from cartels.

Haven't heard this...more likely the other way around...US taking over Mexico...smaller border. (yes, they don't respect them...but that hasn't stopped from taking control...the Indians, Colonization, etc)
Most I've heard is merge portions into Canada (Pacific and Northeast)

But I guess there are portions some may want to "revert back" TX all the way to CA

However, I wouldn't want to get into the "original owner" argument...the Indians might have a say in that.

IMO that sounds like some pure bullshit--made up by the A-R????--to stir up anti-Mexico (read anti-illegal Latino immigrants) sentiments. If your husband has found mention of such movements, did the author(s) provide the names of such groups?

I did find an article that refers to this idea, and as much as I hate to link to the site, here it is: Mexico Is Sending Us Colonists, Not Immigrants - Breitbart

The thing about Breitbart.com is that, despite the intentions of its founder, Andrew Breitbart, the site has been rebranded as the voice of the alt-right. Its articles are invariably misleading, and they do this using various tactics, not least of which includes distorting things to make them appear more or less significant than they really are.

If you want to get a good idea of where your husband is coming from, do a "media audit" of the site by reading some of the headlines and noting their coverage of topics, their slants, and their embedded biases. Next, read a few articles to see the rhetoric they use. All news media has biases, but Breitbart is blatant in their biases towards the kinds of positions that Trump's supporters have. Actually, the top source for "news" that Trump's campaign website used was, by far, Breitbart, and it's even gotten to the point where people are claiming that Breitbart is basically Trump's Pravda, and people have even started calling it Trumpbart. These aren't views I share, though, as I'm still evaluating just what Breitbart is exactly. It's evolving, especially since the rise of Trump in American politics.

Thank you for the tips for evaluating. Reading news today reminds me of the rhetoric course I took as a freshman.
Reading that article made my stomach turn.

Earlier this year, around the time of Trump's remark about a US judge of Mexican heritage, right wing online chatter had been claiming that National Council of La Raza supports "Reconquista"

Here is how NCLR responds:

NCLR has never supported and does not endorse the notion of a “Reconquista” or “Aztlán.” Similarly, NCLR’s critics falsely claim that the statement “Por La Raza todo, Fuera de La Raza nada,” [“For the community everything, outside the community nothing”] is NCLR’s motto. NCLR unequivocally rejects this statement, which is not and has never been the motto of any Latino organization.
