My latest guinea pig Murphy has a tendency to grab his food bowl and toss it into the air randomly as he's feeding. He's been doing this for quite awhile, and since he shows no sign of stopping, I've given him a new name... which sounds suspiciously like a villain from a James Bond movie, hence this...

My cutie...she was a huntress today.

Yes, under that adorable exterior and big brown eyes and happy face...lies a fearsome foe.
Rabbits, squirrels and birds beware...she will chase you down. (and I've had to take a bird away from her once)
It's the reason I keep her leashed on our walks. (not because she'd run away or endanger herself, she obeys...and is cheerful calm and harmless to people and other dogs)

Makes sense, since she's a 13" beagle. They were bred for that.

But to see this cutie with curious patience, today watching a bird hopping around...it oblivious to it's predicament.
It's interesting and humorous (I had her at the full length of leash and locked, so the bird was fine)
    Such a contradiction.

And who's harmless & friendly to one, may be dangerous to another. (people vs. small animals in comparison...she's never bitten or growled at one person or dog)
Don't judge a book by its cover.

My Lady took this happy snap of a couple of beasts waiting patiently by the door for me to exit the studio. Apparently they were there for at least an hour.

We retired our push mower when we got the studio refurbished/place landscaped. Best decision ever. The path leads to a bubbling rock water feature, a fire pit and a leisure swing. A true urban oasis :)
Here's another happy snap my Lady took of a pair of beasts in the yard. It's from the coign of vantage of her string hammock she put on the little balcony off our bedroom.

This is a Akiko (Kiko) and her politely crossed paws. Louie was in another room but he is huge, black, and so fluffy. They are both rescues and have what amounts to PTSD, which i have, so we all get on famously with each other. They are challenging but very beloved. [IMG]

Oh dear I feel that i sounded rather flippant, and I do apologize for that! What I should have said is that they have issues that remind me of PTSD, which i had 4.5 years of EMDR therapy for and could do with a few more. I'm really sorry that I just blathered on in a careless way. :(

Oh, I work with plenty of people and pets with PTSD. It's definitely a thing for pets.

I never leave the back window on my truck open; but I transported grandkids this weekend. Taken with my wife's cellphone. If you ever ride in my backseat, I'd suggest not using the center headrest.
