I don't know what paleo chili is, but it sounds tasty. Grilled romaine salad will be our dinner, and I'm looking forward to it but don't yet want to leave this quiet refuge and venture further into the house.

No beans, no sugars, etc. Colorado style... Beef, onions, seasonings, garlic, fire-roasted tomatoes, coffee... Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce adds just the right amount of heat. From 'Paleo Soups and Stews'

I made a NY strip steak topped with grilled portobello mushrooms, and I also made the kale salad from Costco to go with it. Yummy.

@Japchae what makes your chili paleo?

It's so chilly outside I'll use some chiles from the garden to make chili tomorrow.:)

High temp today was only 68° almost unheard of here in the first week of August. Broke the record for the lowest high temp, set in 1897.

On my own, so I'm making a veggie-packed chicken soup and some chicken salad for meal prep. I went to HMart and got seven different kinds of mushrooms, kale, baby bok choy, carrots, leeks, onion, big green onions and Thai chiles. Two rotisserie chickens from Mariano's. Two breasts, celery, cornichons, green onions, veganaise and yellow mustard into the chicken salad for the week, and the rest of the chickens into the soup. Half is homemade broth, but I had to add some boxed broth because I didn't have enough of one kind. Not mixing the dashi or spicy chicken broth, after learning the hard way last time. CLASH OF THE FLAVORS. heh.

Had a #9 Italian Club Unwich from Jimmy Johns. An unwich wraps the meats, cheese and toppings in a couple of large lettuce leaves instead of using the typical sub roll. That style decreases the carbs and bulk of the sandwich. That's what I usually get from JJ's and there's one only about a hundred yards down the street.

The Italian Club uses my favorite cola.

    Capicola.:D

Is it better the second day? After the flavors have a chance to meld?
