Bought nice dishes at William-Sonoma :)
Nice colorful Sicilian large plates that are microwave safe and dishwasher safe.

I would have gotten others, but in that style, they didn't have the form/shape that I wanted. (I guess I'm particular about that...I didn't realize)

    Also went furniture shopping.
For new bookcases, new dining room table chairs and new bedroom dressers.
Must have visited at least 7 different stores.

Found the bookcases and potentially the bedroom stuff at one store...decent price.
I think the chairs at another...but they'll need to be customized a bit and are more pricey.

Didn't buy any, after labor day sales end next week it seems.
So I'm going to let it sink it, consider my options.

Then maybe I'll have the place just right. (until I meet someone, then she'll tell me otherwise ;))

Fun fact: The phrase "possible possibilities" (or rather the literal translation of it) is commonly used in German business correspondence.

Picked up my Mom, treating her today.
She is in Bali spa for a pedicure, I'm next door waiting for a haircut. It's nice not being at work when I am suppose to be there.

My husband and I were discussing how we like the new "Midnight, Texas" show.
I said that I like the campyness and it reminds me of the Canadian shows we like.
He busts out with, "Texas is an American Canada."
We look at each other and die laughing.

Saw one of those ubiquitous land of the free because of the brave stickers on a car and it got me thinking. There are lots of brave people all over the world. I'm sure China has brave soldiers. North Korea. France. Etc. They aren't free because of the brave. But they all have things they feel are worth fighting for. And if you have something to lose, then you are willing to fight. It would be more accurate to say we have the brave, because we are the free. I think of Tom Hank's character in saving private Ryan. He was the portrayal of the citizen-soldier. He was an English teacher before the war. He just wanted to go home and teach again.

Let's be real. The obvious takeaway from all of this is that @ZombieSquirrel LOVES me.

The degree of cuntiness currently on display on all sides when it comes to the Aussie same-sex marriage vote has really reached new heights.

I'd be shaking my head if I wasn't entertained by everyone's overreactions. :D

Just like Idiocracy almost predicted the future in politics in a satirical fashion. PCU was completely correct what College Campuses would turn into. Love that film.

Also, give it up to the Parliament Funkadelic for playing their gig.

Got a 100% on my first paper for the semester :D
    good omen
    still...there's a whole season ahead...hope I keep the momentum

Funny, it was for business writing for managers.
And it was a summary for personal goals in my job to my "boss"
Which is exactly what my real boss wanted...

    Now the question is...
Will my boss like it just as much as the prof??
    We'll see
