This good thing happened to me today...

Discussion in 'General Discussions' started by A Voice Of Reason, Dec 27, 2017.

  1. I see there is a bitching and complaining thread, so I thought a counterbalance might be nice.

So, here, it is just what the title says--a chance to count your blessings, small or large.

Today, a good friend called and we went to lunch.

I got home from my travels alive, no crunches, no real traffic, no unusual situations...even all clean toilets.
And I got home at a normal allowing me time to wind down and prep for work this morn.

Bonus: good times with the family...no hiccups. :)

Took my granddaughter for a walk and taught her to ballroom dance in a empty parking lot. She is 2 and followed along so well.
She loved it and wanted more...melted my heart.

  7. The week between Christmas and New Year is normally slow for me, but I've been busy. As a self-employed guy, that's a good thing.

  10. Went to church, which is always a good thing. Got to see the adult children of some close friends who were all in for the holidays. Then my wife and I had lunch with another close friend. It's very cold here, and I'm not going to have to leave the house today or tomorrow--that's right, my New Years' Eve will be spent in my recliner, probably watching something on Netflix with my love.

  15. Today, I got up, moved from the bed to the recliner and started watching college football. I should still be here in 10 hours.

My body and mind are working better today.
And I was able to get through the maze of my starting EXCEL class. (who thinks up this shit?...thank god I'm more tenacious and on top of it these days...the old me would have said, "fuck it")

Oh yeah...I didn't have to spend $150 on a video training app for my cybersecurity class. (yes, this is how they "teach" it ) I already had access from a past class.
