So, had an weird thing happen yesterday. Was home early from work, talking with my son about gun control. Suddenly, our smart TV turns on, tuned to our local Fox station. I asked the son if he turned it on, he said no. We try to turn it off, no go. Try to change the channel, no go. Replace batteries in remote, no go. Hmm, volume works fine but cannot change channel or turn the TV off. The only way I found to fix it was to unplug the TV. Then, magically, everything works fine.

Now, I don't believe in conspiracy theories or other stuff like that, BUT (and you'll notice it's a big, sexy but) I think it's time for the tin foil hat. Just sayin':eek::eek::eek::eek:

Went to Husker Women's Basketball game tonight. Was a sellout, but quite a few empty seats, because of the nasty weather. They beat Penn State 59-51 giving the Husker girls a Big 10 record of 11 wins 4 losses, overall 20 wins, 8 losses. They're in second place in the Big 10. Quite a turnaround. Last year they only won 8 games all year.

My wife loved the cross-eyed pupils joke, said her grandmother told it to her decades ago.
Which proves a good joke never dies ;)!

So, have a question. I've noticed that my fellow drivers don't seem to understand when I flash my lights to let them know it's safe to move into the lane in front of me. Is that no longer a thing?

I've only flash my lights if a slow poke is in the left fast/passing lane, or to warn drivers on the other side of the highway or freeway they're approaching a speed trap (I rarely do this any more).

Starting to plan a road trip to Southern California. Leaving a week from Friday. Haven't decided on a route yet, the weather is still too iffy. But there are three or four viable ways: I-80 to I-15, I-70 to I-15, US81 to US54 (or US56) to I40 to I-25 to I-10. Or we may decide to take a couple of extra days and drive mostly two-lane roads.

My ovaries would like you all to know that they exist.
And that they are displeased with my future plans. I think they might be using ice picks to chop their way out.
