So I bought this rhinestone thong, from a bdsm web site for Choua, my lil Hmong chick. She is submissive, and enjoys pain with her pleasure. It came in the mail a week ago. She will get it next weekend after her period. il_570xN.995493079_rek0.jpg

  7. kramus

    kramus what I might see

After a bit of a snafu (the shipper lost the bedamned thing) I got my shiny new Plustek OpticPro A320 flatbed scanner :)
I am going to have to accept a fall-off in the extreme end of the range of the scanner because it was a (relatively) inexpensive one (the next step up was 5x the cost of the A320, and the ones better than that more than doubled again). I can't scan texture of the paper unless it's rather strong - my A320 reads 0% pixels in those areas. But I can scan in a single-pass a 12"x17" drawing at 600 ppi without having to assemble a series of mismatched files in photoshop.
My image guy charges $60-$80 per at that size. He's very good. I'm good enough
I'm attaching a sample of the output as well as the pics of the scanner just because.

It's good to see you calling her by her name instead of just "my lil Hmong chick." :)

I found this folk dulcimer ^ in a local pawn shop a few weeks ago; yesterday I decided to quit pissing around and just buy it for my wife.

It's handmade in the USA by Folkcraft Instruments. They were established in 1968, this is an early one, dated 09-21-69. I know very little about dulcimers. All I did was look it over to see if there were any obvious problems, and make sure the tuners were working. It'll get a cleaning and a wood oil treatment when we, or she, changes the strings.

I think I got a great deal. It's still solid & sound despite being nearly 50 years old, cost me $63.00. Similar used Folkcraft dulcimers go for around $250.00 on e(space)Bay, news ones list at $595.00 on the Folkcraft site. And my wife really likes it.

I know nothing about guitars. Couldn't hit a note if my life depended on it... Why are the string retainers staggered? As in, wouldn't they all be neatly lined up, since the adjustment is made at the other end of the neck??? ( I do see that its a movable thingy, as it has a Tremola bar)

    And that's what really matters.:)

I don't usually go looking for used underwear, but ran across this on Craigslist. I went to look at it and it looked like it had never even been worn! Small band/large cup size bras are not always easy to find and are expensive. For $15 bucks... a steal. It even has the metric size (F-70) on the band tag, which is the same as my Wacoal made in Japan bras. Just right.:D It fits perfectly.

    I know what you're thinking........

    LOL!

The retainers are called saddles, you adjust them in height and length. Height --To set the action. To get the strings to touch at one fret without hitting the frets above it. Ideally to get the strings as low as possible without fret buzz.
Length--To set the intonation. Because the strings vary in thickness (gauge), the saddles require individual adjustments.

The trick is getting low action and proper intonation. I've managed to set-up guitars where the saddles and tremelo were a total mess, and I've had some where I had to give up and let a pro take over.

Great story as well. The record label executives didn't want to record the performance, weren't thrilled about Cash doing a prison concert in the first place. Cash basically told them I'm going to record it; we'll figure out what to do with the recording later.

JCAFP is one of the all time top selling C&W albums.

Edit: Wikipedia has a great article on JCAFP (my apologies for no link).

My comments are partially correct & partially wrong. Cash did have some limited support.

The Wiki article is very detailed.
