Nah, I chilled at home away from the heat and crowds
Went over to my GFs place after to continue my holiday festivities and fireworks

The heat is significant but I’m not going to complain after so much rain

Hot, muggy, rainy. Gonna "cool off" for a couple days before heading back to suffocating heat/humidity. WOO SUMMER!

It's about 112 million degrees here in the sonoran desert...

OK, that's an exaggeration. It's really only 111,999,999 degrees.

Average rainfall in Lincoln for the whole month of September is 2.92"

Saturday through midnight Sunday (2 days) it rained 3.64 inches.
Another 3.85" through 10pm tonight, and it's still raining.

So, 10.4" so far, in the first four days of the month.

I picked a bad time to have my backyard torn up for concrete work. It looks like some kind of brown soup.

At our house we've had some form of rain for at least the last six days, and the forecasts say the same for at least the next four days. I'll need to run the line trimmer over my yard before attempting to use the lawn mower.

If the tropical disturbance in the GOM dumps any significant amount of rain in Houston--which is a very real possibility for Friday and the weekend--we'll have flooding in our house.

We are currently having the driest, warmest Sept. on record.
It really is pretty and nice, not too hot, not too cold.
I would love this weather all year round.
