June 219 will be my 20th wedding anniversary. that's a long time for her to put up with me. there have been many ups and downs over the years but at the end of the day I wouldn't change it for anything.

with that said I am trying to come up with something nice to do for our anniversary. we never do anything for each other or ourselves. everything we do revolves around my daughter and making sure she has the things she needs. as well as we should. we normally go to myrtle beach in the summer as a family vacation and to the same place during thanksgiving. that's just kinda our family tradition. other than that I work work work...

whats some good things to do? do we take my daughter? what did you do?

    kramus what I might see

Totally off the wall thought. Transmissions have lots of circular parts. Shine up some, mount them on a nice piece of wood, insert photos of your journey together in the circles w custom pieces of glass over the faces. A project that takes time, thought and dedication might be appreciated. Besides, it would share a side of you that others might not really know or expect to see.

First of all, congratulations! 20 years is a nice accomplishment.

We celebrated ours this past spring. We went to a very nice, adults only resort for 11 days. If you guys like the beach, something like that may be a thought?

Congrats Ralphie, we also hit 20 this past June.
Whatever you do, I suggest you spend some alone time with your wife.
Even if it's just a day trip and dinner. Grown up time is good for your relationship.

It's exactly that, 'adults only'. No guest can be under the age of 18. There isn't any hidden meaning or anything, it isn't/wasn't a resort where swinging or open sex took place, if that is what you were wondering (those places do exist). It just simply doesn't allow kids, and all of the restaurants, pools, bars, entertainment, and room set-ups are designed for couples only. We've been there a couple of times now, and have a third visit booked. It's one of the most relaxing places I've ever been to, and the food/drink choices are far superior to typical resort fare, especially if you do the "Excellence Club" upgrade. Below is a link to the resort and a link to Tripadvisor reviews.

Just for back from an Alaskan cruise less than 2 weeks ago. Highly recommend it, though the cruise season is about over for the year in Alaska. Heard decent things about the Caribbean but never been!

If I'm not taking a vacation in a particular city, to see what that city has to offer, I usually want a beach, a big comfy room, and the ability to get away from everyone but my wife. Though in fairness I've never done a cruise, I think the relatively small rooms would be a negative, as would having people around all the time.

This is the most likely exception I'd probably make for a cruise, other than maybe one of the European ones that does rivers through France or the Mediterranean. Everyone I've ever know that went on an Alaskan cruise raves about it. If we booked a cruise, that would probably be our first choice.

You're not too far from the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can cruise as far or short as you like and there are some incredible hiking trails & beautiful resorts to stay in along the way. Plus as an added bonus, when you get near my exit, we will treat you to some amazing NC anniversary BBQ.

This trip is or isn't kid friendly. Your call...

From what I’ve heard, Carnival tends to be a younger group of people. I’d choose Royal Caribbean most likely myself. Have fun!!
