Next to Vodka, I love me some beer.

Always had a penchant for Paulaner, Franziskaner, Hoegaarden, Carlsberg and Sapporo... but lately getting into Singha and James Squire.

 

personally I've always liked the taste of beer. I dont drink as much as I used to, but I've always liked drinking, like how it tastes, liked how it feels...

 

Well, now I'm just going to drink more beer to disgust Olympian.

I like beer and all forms of alcohol, intoxicants! Anything that removes my mind from reality.

 

I love an ice cold beer (preferably draft) on a hot day. If I want to get drunk I drink Bourbon. Jack Or Jim.

 

Maybe its just my unrefined palate, but I find there is a far greater variety in flavors/styles of beer than nearly any other alcoholic beverage. Sure wine has red and white and many styles have differences and with certain liquors there are different styles that taste different, but with beers there are different styles are are 100% the opposite of one another. For example there are super bitter IPA's which are completely different from sweet fruit beers or sours. For that reason, I think its pretty ridiculous to just judge all beer.

 

Beer like everything else is a matter of individual taste. Some people like wine and execpt for sweet wines I find it disgusting. Some beers are to hoppy to the point of being bitter. I find loggers to be to hoppy. Beer like everything else is a matter of tast.

 

I agree with Frankie here. Individual taste. It took me a bit when I started out drinking beer to find what I liked, or more accurately, what I didn't like. And my likes depend on my mood, when I'm having it, etc. After a hockey game, there is nothing else like having a basic mass produced beer (Kokanee, Molson, Bud, etc). Just a basic easy to drink beer. But if I'm going to sit and enjoy a beer, I like the Stouts and the darker beers. I like to try all sorts of beers actually and I rate them on Untapped (facebook for beers). The one type of beer that I'm not a big fan of (and even here it isn't all of them) is IPA's. I just am not a big fan of extremely hoppy beers.
