Congressional Democrats’ emoluments lawsuit targeting President Trump’s private business can proceed, judge says

    Now this is big.
    How big?

Because this truly hits Trump where it hurts...his money and his business.
It's ye olde Trading Places motto...how do you really hurt rich people?? You take away their money.

You may not be able to impeach him. You may not be able to jail him. You may not be able to shut him the hell up.

    But you CAN set boundaries...Constitutionally.
No business or conflict of interest with Foreign governments, entities or even domestic business with foreign contracts.

Even SCOTUS can't supersede the Constitution, it's directly and blatantly written in there. Not even an amendment.
Question is...how fast can they move it??
Govenment and the courts move SLOW, especially with opposition legal and political headwinds of every shape and form.

Still, this is truly a Constitutional matter.
    History beinging made here.
    First time it being addressed.

Then again, Trump has pushed the limits of this moreso than any previous prez. (that I know of....correct me if I'm wrong)

Documents show foreign diplomats held leases in Trump Tower without congressional permission

    Oi Vey...here we go again.
Is there ANY month that this guy doesn't get revealed to be doing another corrupt act???

Bad enough that we may had what we have before...now it's expanded.
And this article is from a conservative newspaper...so it's getting their attention too without spin or explanation.

Ok, what is he, his company and his administration being investigated for?
    Let me count the ways....

Wait, I'm too damn tired to list them all out...and I'd likely forget a few there are so many.
Forget about it. (gotta find a doc somewhere by someone who has no life or is paid to do this crap...)

Maybe we can get Politifact to start tracking presidential investigations too.
They already track lies/facts and promises (*they did this for Obama too)
    Why not that?

I'll put it in their suggestion box.

Steven Mnuchin Refuses to Release Trump’s Tax Returns to Congress

Of course...now let's see if Congress (House) has the spine to vote for contempt...and followup on it.

Now, the fact that everyone in their power is pushing to hide Trump's tax returns...makes you think WHAT are they hiding???
    Just curious.

There's so much bullshit these day, these might as well make the White House a cow stable.
(of course, Congress is a chicken farm )

Tax, taxes and even more taxes - NYT got something...

Trump tax returns from 1985-94 show $1 billion in losses: NY Times

5 Takeaways From 10 Years of Trump Tax Figures

Trump Used Same Tax Breaks as Amazon to Obliterate His IRS Bill

So basically, the great businessman isn't so great.
And the guy who gives tax breaks, yet complains about his opposition's tax break...get OODLES of tax breaks and writeoffs.

So his hypocrisy, is still at full steam
And his energy at lying is abound (certainly not skills, because his bluff always called - Trump plays poker as well as his golf game, which is NOT good at all and he cheats)

Great guy ya voted in "supporters"

But let's see if they actually get them
Opinion | Sorry, Steve Mnuchin. Congress Has a Right to See Trump’s Tax Returns.

    And in New York...
N.Y. Lawmakers Move Closer to Allowing Release of Trump’s State Tax Returns

Trump is the ultimate wingman. He helped Putin make the Republican party his bitch. Trump taught him to grab them by the pussies. And McConnell, Graham, Pence, and all the others just fell in line. All ready to fall to their knees and gobble some greasy borscht and collect their rubles. Putin doesn't even pay them directly. Just has his oligarchs handle it.

There is a problem with the vast number of unethical and illegal actions of TRump. There are so many of them voters will tire of hearing about them, and will become jaded.

Which is most likely just what TRump wants.

That asshole could actually get reelected.

Trump invokes patriotism to justify China tariff pain

    Good luck with that...
So you give a grand tax cut to the higher incomes and businesses...but then you do what is basically an even larger tax on everyone.

I can see that y'didn't study the maths in school. (much less, of anything else too )

    Correct
It’s an exaggeration by the media
Of what is now an uncommon scenario
Especially in terms of the volume and sums of money

They often forget to consider the percentages and relative comparison to history.

However, considering Mr T’s own audacious and exaggerated claims of continuous positive growth and never losing...

It seems to contradict ALL of his claims and promises
Especially in comparison to what his policies are doing to tear & wear down everyone BUT Wall street.

So...I put in an exaggerated exclamation just to make a point of the hypocrisy, irony and stupid con-artistry.

    I’m a capitalist and a GDI..I’m a pragmatic realist.
And I prefer my politicians be real too.

    I don’t respect bullshit artists
Or in relative terms of your typical politician

Nike, Adidas Call Tariffs ‘Catastrophic’ in Open Letter to Trump

    Still more "winning"!

Should these industries rely on China so much...not likely.
But it's still directly impacting those businesses that Mr. T said he'd support, promote and make excel.

It's as if he was lying before...or unaware of the consequences...or both?

Like he got in as the Prez...and said, "I thought there'd be no math..."
    Economics, bitch.
It ain't for wussies. (at least, not macroeconomics)

Now on the other side of the coin...this...

As Huawei Loses Google, the U.S.-China Tech Cold War Gets Its Iron Curtain

It may be good for the US and allies, it may punish an opponent or at least a 2-faced trade partner.
We may be in for a long tech cold-war.

Frankly, we HAVE been in a tech cold-war for awhile...it's just that we didn't hit back for fear of losing money and increasing prices.

BUT, recently the economy has done so well, that the nation and consumers may be able to make it viable or at least less painful to hit back.

Can't get any more Macro than this... (for now)

Soo...what avalanche are you going to create next??
The cleanup will be a bitch.

    Just no NUKES please.

Or have some one read them to him.

Ding! Nailed it. Dowd always had a way with words.

However, nothing is going to be done.
The cult of personality supporters will continue to support EVEN if his actions hurt them.
Damage will still continue to all part of the US government (and our globe rep) like a Loony-Tunes Tasmanian Devil destruction path.
The Dems will continue to be feckless
The GOP will continue to cater and placate him (covering his ass, rationalizing his words)

    Again, NO nukes.
Cleanup crews are ready to rebuild what was destroyed...at great cost, of course... (but nukes, no going back on that)

Trump's lies about treason and coups must be called out ~ James Comey

Excellent points...right on the money. Hope he's suckered into your trap.
HOWEVER, we wouldn't be talking about this IF you hadn't announced your own investigation into Hillary just DAYS before the election on her fuckin' EMAILS

    So fume away.
May you be griping about this guy for the rest of your life. It was the most foolish decision you ever made...one that had consequences...for ALL of us.
Because now there's an orange madman running the most powerful nation on earth. (much less, a corrupt traitor)

But, you're very correct in your descriptions...I'll give ya that.

Trump lashes out at Pelosi over prison comment: 'She's a nasty, vindictive, horrible person' — CNN Politics

“She's a nasty, vindictive, horrible person”
Uhh, the pot calling the kettle black???

Except here, the pot is Orange ;)

I’m wondering how Pelosi gets Mr. T “in prison”??
Does she have a gameplay that no one expects?

Oooo, that would be a grand twist.
Almost like unexpected reveal in a Hollywood plot.

I’m drooling to see what comes about...

Investigate as part of House oversight and let the SDNY do it's thing. It's likely SDNY that will indict him.
