I like a certain style of watch, but the company that made them dropped that style around 2005. A few other manufacturers make similar models, but they're not quite right.

One company makes several models that are spot on copies (larger, since wrist clocks have been popular for so long). They're made, or at least assembled, in the USA in a city desperate for industry & jobs.

They offer a lifetime warranty on their metal body watches.

BUT the customer pays shipping to the company (not uncommon)
AND prepays a nonrefundable $25.00 fee.

Say what? Doesn't that pretty much mean the customer is paying for the repair? I'm pretty sure the company doesn't pay their repair techs an outrageous hourly rate.

I should mention the style I like runs around $450.00 best price for the basic model.

I'm intentionally not giving the company any free advertising.

Not paying attention at the grocery store. Bought French vanilla ice cream.:( I hate French vanilla and its eggy taste. My favorite is Breyers Natural Vanilla. Nothing but milk, cream, vanilla and sugar.:) My new favorite non-alcoholic drink is Breyers Vanilla mixed with apple cider. Also, bought sweetened green tea instead of unsweetened. Just not paying attention.

A couple of weeks back at Sam's Club I accidently bought 80/20 ground beef instead of 90/10. The good news is it isn't that bad because it wasn't grocery store ground beef, but it sure wasn't the 90/10 we're used to. Bad news is it was a 10# chub.

I love 80/20 for burgers. I get the leaner stuff for taco meatmeatn spaghetti, etc. But a burger needs some fat to taste good.

You probably wouldn't like the 99/1 (that's not a typo) ground turkey.
I bought two 1# packages on Special.
    Sticky, sticky, sticky.
It's super lean, and super flavorless.

We used to use ground turkey in taco pie, an old weight watchers recipe. I would never eat it by itself

Ground poultry needs to go in a dish with liquids and seasonings.

I cook with it, but I have to get it for a great price. Otherwise it's 90/10 ground beef for us.

You can mix that 80/20 beef with the 99/1 turkey, throw in some pork sausage, spices, garlic, fine dice onions, bread crumbs, egg and make one hell of a meatloaf or roll up some great meatballs.

We use oat meal in place of bread crumbs.

    Daisy Dukes.
    Enough already.
Especially with fuggin' cowboy boots. Not attractive (even if the boots and her legs are really nice).
And this is coming from a native Texan (that might actually explain a lot).

Can anybody remember what cutoff jeans shorts were called before the name Daisy Dukes took over? Hint: It's a fictional female character.
If you get it right, I'll pretend to send you a worthless free dinner coupon to an imaginary restaurant.

Was it from a cartoon? Maybe from playboy? I'm picturing a girl with a red shirt knotted at the waist, ditzy, blonde hair, maybe in pigtails.

    That would be Lil' Abner.

I only know that because my grandfather was a fan of the Smoos and the book.
Not this one but an older version.

That may be why I like them because I never watched the show.

Every fifty years you get to recycle television. The Twilight Zone becomes Black Mirror. Can't wait for the Get Woke Go Broke logic to apply to whatever A-Team remake they have planned so it gets put out of its misery after a single preachy season.

Gotta love that "OFF" button.;) I hardly ever watch TV except for some news and sports. I don't feel like I've really given up anything. Except, I guess I do sometimes feel left out of some vapid conversations when I'm stuck in a room with a bunch of TV addicts.

Oh so very close. Lil Abner was the name of the comic strip, and he was the husband & main character. Daisy Mae was his wife.
