Inside the GOP reckoning over Trump’s possible impeachment

I tell ya the reason it’s shaky
Because your House of Cards is about to fall

There’s now a 2nd whistleblower with direct observation of the activities
They’ve got a lawyer firm now
And that firm is starting to represent even more whistleblowers

There may be an avalanche of reporting soon...

    Step carefully
You may have bet on a horse that will be disqualified
    For cheating

And it’s not about a blowjob this time
So not that kind of cheating

Not that Melania would likely care by now

Cupp: Don't be surprised if this is what undoes Trump — CNN Politics
    (watch the vid)

    Just this???
    Sad, if it’s just this

    The GOP have become apologists

Principles and values are explained off

Let’s hope they finally do cave
    Just get the madman out

But they’re going to have to deal with the damage they allowed
We all are going to have to deal with it

GOP worries it's losing impeachment fight

Vulnerable Senate Republicans Shrink From Defending Trump

It’s just a matter of how long
    And how hard their hit

Pelosi waited to when Mr T overreached
And had him cold...it’s just going to get worse

    McConnell wants it fast
Pelosi is slow burning it (and by the books)
Making the GOP look like idiots and criminal

She wants them smothered in mud
And when the election happens it will all be still fresh in the minds of even our short term memory voters

She has full control of the impeachment
And she’s doing it all by precedent
So the GOP have nothing to undermine
    And courts will agree

The GOP is going to have swallow it all down

The problem is 80-90% of the country has already made up their minds. With the amount of dead baby and gun tax stuff my conservative friends are posting about, it is obvious that is their strategy for next year. And they will win in a lot of areas. I don't think it will be enough to get them the White House again, but it isn't a slam dunk either.

The Cowardly Republicans - The Bulwark

    Interesting perspective
Don’t know if I like the title

But it does give a real politick angle

I personally don’t think McConnell would flip
Unless he thinks it would be easier to control Pence
    (which it would...)

He should know by now the GOP will likely be punished in the election
There’s been too much headache under their banner.
And it’s not going to stop.

The typical thing GOP does is stay the course
Anything to keep to a point.

Trump isn’t going until he’s dragged kicking & screaming
And pulling everyone down with him.
    Including the GOP

“The GOP has a problem in the suburbs”

I think it’s more than that
They’re just getting tired of the utter chaos, corruption
And just wants the government to do their jobs
Right now, it’s all about Mr T, his mouth, his controversies
And all the other GOP self inflicted messes

They may opt for liberal money spending
Just to get back to something halfway normal
And not affecting their lives with chaos

The pendulum swings the other way

Personally, I like it, still, quiet and right down the middle

“Republicans look to shift focus from Trump”

    Good luck with that...
Trump is going to be a magnet for attention
Whether it’s for the impeachment or the election

    Don’t you get it???
You allied yourself with a megalomaniac
    It’s ALL about him
He won’t allow it to NOT be about him.

You’ve not only lost your souls
    You’ve lost control, any messaging
And any attention to just about anyone not Trump

You made your bed, you lie in it
    Including your new loudmouth boyfriend

Analysis | What Impeachment Will Cost the GOP

If patterns hold true, it's going to cost them a lot.
I really don't know why they're denying it
And haven't learned their lesson from before.

    But they deserve to pay
As they've, for the most part, cast their lot with a crazy corrupt criminal traitor. (yeah, I said it...it's obvious and apparent...and I'm not exaggerating at all)

    Keep your integrity next time.
    You may come out ahead.

    THIS is from a conservative
    A true conservative
One of the most established ones
He’ll, he had his own magazine
And belongs to a conservative thinktank

And I’m seeing this from other well established conservatives

This is how off the rails the GOP has gone

Can they save their souls, if not the party
Much less, actually care about the nation anymore

    “The party of lying liars”

Unfortunately, it almost seems that way
I know politicians lie...but this seems an overreach of lies.

Now this again is a fairly conservative writer

It’s almost as if the GOP for the most part pushed many writers of that type over the edge

    They’ve turned into Never Trumpers
AND they’re disgusted with their own party

So is the GOP going to redeem itself?
Or will they keep going down to hellish territory?

I hope they redeem and improve themselves
Because I wanna party that represents my conservative side
I’m sure the new NTrs do too

The party lines are drawn in the sand. The Republican controlled Senate will not impeach Trump because they figure Trump might just be their best bet to keep the White House.

Unless something takes a real turn against Trump, for example a Roger Stone pardon, before the 2020 election. Which Trump might be stupid enough to do.

Oh, he’ll do it. No doubt.
He’s audacious enough and he’s showed he has no discretion
As with the recent military war crimes pardons the pentagon objected to

No, you’re right, the GOP will stick with him just to keep the presidency

These days it’s whatever trick in the book to keep their influence.
Integrity has taken a back seat to power

Especially when the Dems have a natural advantage in numbers
Party over all now for the GOP

Rep. Devin Nunes got help from indicted Giuliani associate Lev Parnas for 2018 Europe trip

    Of course, he did
I wonder just how many have been influenced, bribed, promised, etc...all by backchannels from Russia (if not other countries...)

Bit coin and other cryptocurrency is great for that.
It's not just for pedophiles and drug dealers any more...
    Corruption is easier than ever.
    Foreign influence is too.

Wha...You think they just hack and do false accounts???

Ex-GOP House Member Reveals What Republican Lawmakers Say About Donald Trump In Private

If you don't like it, do something about it.
Do what's right for the nation.

You won't have an election to lose, if he gets away with everything he wants...
Forever prez, picking and choosing who he wants. That's where it's going.
Much less the damage that will continue to occur, even if doesn't.

It's your job to represent the nation...not just be elected.

Besides methinks the next election will go down wrong for the GOP.
The signs are there...and they're building.

Another thing, if it's a headache for you...it's for us too. US as in the nation as a whole. (much less, most of the world)

    I’m going to agree
Like Republicans For Rule Of Law, say...
    It’s about integrity
    It’s about the law
    It’s about doing it right

Mr T is rotten to the core
but this tree is going to fall on us and our house.
I don’t know if we have enough insurance
