Seems as if some of the players are not liking the new CBA. from what i understand it has to do with adding an additional game.

but the minimum salary is going to go up, thats a plus for some players.

i herd their going to add 2 teams to the playoffs...

I have to confess since Microsoft dropped their sports (and news, and weather) app, I haven't read up on the NFL .

I did hear that Bill O'Brien is going to turn the offensive (in more ways than one ;)) play calling over to the offensive coordinator, Tim Kelly. I don't anything about Kelly; can he be worse than OB?

I seriously expected the players association to fight to drop Thu games, esp if the NFL insists on adding another game to the schedule.

What's the point of adding more teams to the playoffs? If they want to make changes, stop using Winning Their Division to determine who gets a cushy PO position. Mediocre teams, such as the Texans, shouldn't automatically be rewarded for being slightly above average in a weak division.

they say that with the added games that they want make the preseason 2 games, and the added regular season game will be played across the pond...

    Two preseason games.....hmmm.

The bubble players trying to stay on the roster would probably like this, less chance of losing their spot. The coaches trying to evaluate talent, and players trying to earn a roster spot, not so much.

Waiting for Chris Noyb's head to explode when he hears about the Hopkins trade.

    3....2.....1.

Someone check and see if the man is in need of assistance. Get the smelling salts or a shot of whiskey.....or both!

I saw news of the Deandre Hopkins trade about an hour ago. Reports are Hopkins wanted to renegotiate a contract with three years left, and O'Brien got POd.

This' ridiculous. Hopkins is clearly the number one receiver, and no one currently on the team is ready to take his place.

This' more proof to support what I've been saying for at least two seasons:
    Fire Bill O'Brien.

Oh, what about the Tannehill contract? The guy definitely showed he's better than his record with the Dolphins, but still.....

Stefan Diggs to the Bills but it's going to cost them their first round pick.
I'm good with that. Josh Allen needs a true number one receiver. Now we can see if he's the real deal.
I just wish they could have got the same deal the Cardinals got on Hopkins. Already seeing the Hopkins deal labelled the worst deal in history.

Worst deal in history? Close, but no.
O'Brien (no one believed that "GM by committee" bullshit) gave up TWO first round picks for ONE left guard.
Honorable mention: Getting "pennies on the dollar" for Clowney.

    WTF is OB doing?

Truly can not figure out what Brady is thinking.
Why not retire as GOAT, with all the Super Bowl rings, the money, the trophy wife and go enjoy yourself somewhere. Pencil in your Hall of Fame indiction date on the calendar.

He can't possibly need more money and if he did a couple of lucrative endorsement deals would provide plenty without the risk of getting his head smashed in.

Brady has never been a great "under pressure" QB, and the Patriots did a great job of protecting him AND making sure he didn't have to hold the ball too long. I don't recall the Bucs being renown for having a great OL and oustsnding offensive playmakers.

I wouldn't mind seeing Brady suck. But even if he crashes & burns big time, his status in the NFL won't be seriously affected. The same for Belichick.

I think the Colts are looking at a small window of opportunity, make a SB run now, rebuild later. I can see the Titans and the Colts topping the Texlers because they have better coaching and smarter GMs.

they say the draft will go on as scheduled. but it will be all done remotely.

sean peyton says hes feeling better after testing positive.

    cam newton was released.

who will be a starter next year? winston or newton? and where will they end up?

Unless Cam Newton is more beat up/permanently injured than we know, I can see him being a solid QB, maybe even a really good one with the right team.

Winston? No. It looks like his inconsistency can't be "coached out."

A sudden thought: What if Belichick turned Newton into an elite QB? Shit, the Patriots could be the team to beat for what, five years, or more.

At this point I'm having doubts that we'll even have an NFL season to enjoy. I hope my doubts turn out to be unfounded. I don't much care for the expansion of the playoffs, but I'm not entirely sure why.

Maybe for some, not for me.

The Texlers have been trying put a positive spin on the stupid shit things OB has done. Apparently they have a "plan."

    They should plan on:

Falling behind the Colts and the Titans in the AFC South.
    Missing the POs.
Losing more valuable starters because they won't pay them fair market value (but OB has a "plan" to replace them).

I swear it sounds as though OB thinks he's the next Belichick, a coach with such deep insight he has a system in which he can field SB winning teams made up mostly of replaceable players.

    Yeah, right.
    Let him prove it.
    With another team.
