Really it's not all that much water, you can use a little TP to dry it all off. But really you'll see with your eyes that if cleaned well it will not have any fecal matter back there, but now it's washed clean not just wiped clean.

This. You might use a square or two to dry/check at the end if you don't have a 'fancy ass' unit with a dryer like @DamnitAll has. But it's only a square or two.

Yeah I have to replace the ball and cock in the tank and figure now is the time to put in a cheap bidet system since I have to disconnect the hose. I have a pedestal sink so no cabinet hiding the hot and cold water from the sink so thinking I should get the non-electric one with hot/cold since sometimes that water can be chilly.

We bought a deep freezer. First it was the toilet paper issue. Then it was the beef supply issue. That's where we drew the line. Plus our old vinyl garage Refrigerator was dying. Refrigerator portion would not get below 50, which meant only soda could be stored out there. BTW, my exwife and I had bought it from the retirement community she worked at 20 years ago. The previous owner had died of old age and we got it for $25. So the deep freeze gives us a lot more storage and also is more efficient, being a chest style. Now we just need a pile of ammunition and a couple five gallon water storage jugs for emergencies and the inevitable civil war post election.

I don't know if this' pandemic buying or not...

I have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes, even athletic ones. Shoe manufacturers seem to think any size over 11 means the shoe has to be wide.

Wrong. My size 13 feet are very narrow, and closer to 12 than 13. Which means slightly oversized too wide shoes feel loose, and over overtightening them means the laces dig into the pronounced bone on the top of my foot.

Over the course of four days visiting two stores, I managed to find and buy three pairs of comfortable running/trail shoes. One really weird thing is they're different brands, New Balance (long time favorite), Assics (a brand that I previously ignored), and Nike (hit and miss for my screwy feet).

Narrow foot guy here too, although mine are much smaller.
Try LaSportiva if you have access to them locally. My favorite hikers because of the fit.

My new Nike are Reax Training, they have the built-in foot glove that feels really good. Although putting them on requires a little effort, a shoe horn helps.

My hikers, actually cool weather shoes for me, are Lowa Tempest LO, a fluke find from a Salvation Army thrift store. Apparantly I got lucky in that mine have the "better" Vibram sole (per comments on the net). They fit like a glove.

Oh, good noticeable, pronounced arch supports are another requirement for my feet. Getting shoes where they hit just right, or close enough, is a task.

Last night I ordered a slimmer profile laptop sleeve (for smoother, less cumbersome transport) and a solar-powered bug zapper (for bug-lite backyard drinking).

I wanted to buy a Roomba (practical, convenient) and an LCD projector (not at all practical, or necessary), but am holding off.

Currently still lusting after a new tent and down sleeping bag suitable for bike camping, but it's been, like, four years since I last camped and my current gear is not far gone enough to justify replacement. Yet.

    cha-CHING.

I've started doing Amazon reviews again. Sometimes I get the item for free, or just have to pay the taxes, tho recently some are giving commissions too. This time I have to not fill up the 1/2 of the apartment.

Some of these things are on the list...

I bought a blood pressure cuff, scale, pulse oximeter, and one of those forehead scanning thermometers.
This way I can do all my doctors visits via telemed.
I can do all the stuff physical checks they need instead of going in.
Since I don't drive this saves me a couple of hours in bus time and away from work.
    This actually works pretty well

there are some doctor groups that are doing this with Bluetooth connected devices so that the information is transmitted directly to the doctor via the app/phone. It's amazing that one can have access to such devices for a reasonable cost, yet meds like Albuterol were like $2 20 years ago are now $50.

I'm glad that you got such things. I got them too because of COVID.

I was going to buy a mid-priced one for about $58 which was hot and cold water but had to be tapped to the hot water by the sink. I see the electric one but then I'd have a cord going from above the tank to the bidet. Realistically that's the right one to get because it will heat up the water then blow the bits dry. I'm just cringing at the <$300 price tag. I'll get one though. I think the cost savings from toilet paper will be very high.

That was my thought process as well.
So I sucked it up and spent the $300.
No way I'm using cold water......our well water comes out at about 55F. I'd be peeling my poor wife off the ceiling first time she used it.
