I play this mental game with myself when I’m bored, and in most given moments I’m hungry enough to think longingly of the foods I crave.

If you could be eating anything right now, what would it be? Duplicates welcome, since we all know we have our favorites.

Right now: a stack of Eggo waffles slathered in butter and maple syrup (Friday September 4, 2020, 10:58am EDT)

I’ve been on a big Hot Wings kick lately

I miss my old joint that I could just walk across the street and they were made perfect
Lots of meat, not over cooked
Nekkid, no breading...lots of dressing given.
    And quick to make.

The other places now aren’t nearby or they’re not quite right...wrong sauce, not enough meat, too few wings for $$, etc.

I can make my own...with a secret recipe I got from an old wing specialty place I delivered for.
But I gotta find some that have decent meat in their frozen section
And then there’s always waiting for the oil to heat up.
(I’ve got a professional fryer pot to do it in, so not much cleanup...especially now I know to cover it with tin foil to minimize splatter)
9 minutes at 450 and a bit of shake, shake, shake for the sauce and it’s done, made to whim and taste.
    :D

A little late for a meal here at 10:30pm so I'll settle for a big bowl of Breyer's Natural Vanilla ice cream with Mrs. Richardson's Caramel topping with English walnuts.:p
Tomorrow we are going to smoke a couple racks of ribs, but that will take several hours. Should be good for supper tomorrow evening, though. With baked beans and cole slaw.:)

Buttered, syruped French Toast, no powdered sugar, no fruit
    Two eggs over easy
    Turkey sausage
    Coffee, lotsa cream, lotsa sugar

Judge if you will, but Cracker Barrel does all of this just the way I like it. I always eat the eggs and sausage first.

A boneless chicken breast pounded out and coated in panko then deep fried put top of a Belgium waffle with a ton of butter and whiskey maple syrup.
The syrup is running over on the two huge slices thick cut smoked, pepper bacon that comes with that.

I satisfied one of my cravings yesterday (and a tradition)

My cuz and I did an all you eat crab feast.
It was outside, by the water, sunny and beautiful.
He and I sat on each end of the table, more than 6 feet apart...and no one else around.
And crabs are the perfect meal to minimize staff interaction.

So I got to stuff myself with no paranoia at all.
A great vacation meal on an awesome day.

Only negative was my cousin had to drive 2 hours each way to join me.
But it's something we do every year around this time...so worth the investment. (besides, usually it's me going to his area)

Man, my hands were raw....but it was delicious.
Even better, he and I strolled the bay boardwalk after...walking off the meal in the sun...enjoying the water and the cuties :D

It’s been some time since we hung out.

Mass consumption and beverages will be had by all.

That is extremely tempting. We've also been talking about getting to the beach pretty much all summer—also has yet to happen.

    Surf and turf.
Two grilled king crab legs on top of a rare filet mignon with Foyot sauce.
Sides of twice baked potatoes with sharp cheddar and grilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto.

Well, the actual beach isn't open yet. Not here at North Beach by the bay.
The boardwalk and pier is open, as well as the stores. Mostly it's looking at the water, the sun and the animals.
You can go fishing and boating...or riding jetskis, paddleboats or tours. (anything out in the water)
But I think they're worried about hordes of people showing up and lingering on the sand... like Florida, etc.

I just had that last night, without the crab.
    Great minds think alike
    Eat alike too. :D

Went to a restaurant down the street from me.
Fancy place, bed & breakfast inn.
Out on the porch, by myself (it had just opened)
    Rain coming down comfortably.
    Very soothing.

Nice wine to chill with too.

My world famous spaghetti sauce is simmering on the stove as I type this. Eggplant parmesan on Saturday! And @redravin has given me a craving for asparagus.
