Well, Conman Trump actually gave credit to the medical treatments he received. For him, that's qualifies as amazing.

But of course he has an agenda. He wants all Americans to have access to those treatments, free of charge. Gee, that sounds a lot like a campaign promise.

Per Conman, (promised) a vaccine will be ready by the election, roughly 24 days, and (implied) aggressive treatments will no longer be limited, will be available to all Americans who need them, and will be free.

Are there people who are so ignorant, and so deluded, they actually believe those lies?

Also the interesting thing that the antibody treatment he received was developed through stem cell research, something his administration is very much against. Do as I say, not as I do I suppose...

As the Coronavirus Surges, a New Culprit Emerges: Pandemic Fatigue

    Here it comes...
Unfortunately, the crud doesn't care if we're frustrated or forget...it's just waiting. (Like fuckin' Jaws )

Only if you keep staying away from big groups (inside, lingering around and remember to wash hands)
    But no...people want to mingle.

Well then, it's likely going to be a LONG hard winter.
Our Xmas present to ourselves. (belief in religion not important...belief in scientists' warnings ARE)

Vincent Van Gogh went "mad" and cut off his right ear. One theory is he suffered from slow unintentional lead poisoning.

Gotta admit it took me a couple of looks. I knew about the ear and I couldn't figure out why the mask was hanging on the one he cut off. Hey Stoopid! It was his OTHER ear he cut off. Ohhhhhh, I get it now.

    We're turning the corner.
    A vaccination is weeks away.

We're going to build a wall to block and

Australia hit a decent milestone of the good kind today. New cases yesterday are in single figures for the entire country. We have pretty much had closed borders for 6 months or so. Anyone incoming were citizens or residents returning home and had to go through a 14 day hotel quarantine. One state (Victoria) has just come out of lockdown, where people were asked to stay home and could only travel within 5km of home unless they had a specific reason.

We have had a huge economic impact by locking down, but our total deaths are under 1000, and our federal government spent a crap load of money on stimulus/support.

I still think most are hanging out for a vaccine as you can't keep handing out stimulus money ad infinitum. Tourism, which is usually a pretty big earner is completely in the toilet (particularly with internal state borders also mostly closed).

Lots of mask wearing going on. Lots of companies are full time working from home, and may never go back full time. Anyone holding commercial real estate might be in for some pain next year.

Would a businessman turned politician whose "billions, and billions" is based mostly in commercial real estate holdings hesitate to take the tough actions that would hurt their personal finances?

We've had another case in the office. I was not contacted a second time. Office was cleaned this weekend. Here we go again.

EDIT: We've just been informed we'll be working from home, starting tomorrow and going until Nov. 13th. Like I said, here we go again.

I found out that one of my BILs in the UK has covid-19.

I don't have all the details. Apparantly he was treated superficially? lightly? per protocol before being admitted to ICU.

Positive thoughts and healing mojo being sent often.

I'm not sure why seeing the numbers broken down this way seemed more painful to me.
Maybe because I realized that it made sense now why almost to a person the people who have been demanding the economy open up, we not be 'afraid' of covid, and who don't want to wear masks are white.

COVID-19 deaths analyzed by race and ethnicity — APM Research Lab

Our latest update reveals continued wide disparities by race, most dramatically for Black and Indigenous Americans. We also adjust these mortality rates for age, a common and important tool that health researchers use to compare diseases that affect age groups differently. This results in even larger mortality disparities observed between Black, Indigenous and other populations of color relative to Whites, who experience the lowest age-adjusted rates nationally. Age-adjusting elevates the mortality rate for Latinos more than any other group—revealing that COVID-19 is stealing far more Latino lives than we would expect despite this group’s relative youthfulness.
