    This is just the start...
Once the new administration actually takes over
There’s going to be investigations everywhere

I think the most interesting thing is, the culprits were so clumsy and sloppy in their passion and continuing corruption they got used to under Trump
That it will be easy pickings for the investigators and prosecutors
And those in turn will give up others...or reveal more clues.

This will be like when they cleaned up all the gangs in old Chicago

Many will be going to prison OR at least fined.

And their reputations will be in shambles.

And frankly, I have no sympathy

    There has to be consequences
Otherwise people won’t learn there are.

We need to get cleaned up and stabilized again.

Hold off on actual charges until Conman is out and Biden is in. If any pardons are issued, make certain they have to be for future charges. That would (should?) make challenging their validity in court more successful.

The bad: Conman's tweets are a way for him to reach his minions.
The good: They're a way to keep track of his bullshit. And for him to hang himself.

True enough but I think those who need to know, those in law inforsment who sift the net where these folks talk, they should find what they need.

Pres it seems was excited and didn't get why cronies weren't happy when the mob broke in.
Calling out for support in delays mid insurgence.

Josh Howley making fundraising calls from wherever they were all hiding out.

Lots of chatter going on about following events at various state capitols in future as well as on inauguration day.
I'm thinking more security will be on alert nationally as well as much larger force available on the event.

I really think more that if T escapes actual prison he and his cronies the core cronies like Stone and Bannon down to the pardoned war criminals might form something with the few million delusional deplorables as soldiers.
    I think it's really possible.

I'm wondering what some kind of civil war might look like. But I can't see how the U.S. could be split up. The political map isn't devided that cleanly.

T, banned from Twitter is now trying to sneak tweet on other accounts, cause he doesn't have the balls to come out and speak to the nation.

The whole thing is sad, no point in storming in and fucking shit up.

but to be honest, the picture of the guy with his feet on the desk and the guy taking the podium, i laughed my ass off. is it wrong??? yes its wrong, why did i laugh? cause people are dumb enough to let others take pics of them doing it. Im loosing faith in humanity more and more every day.

    One report I read
--I feel compelled to point out it was hearsay,
the reporter did not witness it,
the interviewee did not witness it--
says Conman Trump referred to the rioters as "low class."

Was he expecting to see his golfing buddies,
    upper management types, executives,
prominent members of high society, etc?

Those supporters, for the most part,
    did exactly what Conman did:
    Watch from a safe distance.

DoJ/FBI release on the arrest of Richard Barnett

....Barnett is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds; and theft of public money, property, or records. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of one year in prison. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors...

The full sentence of one year in federal prison and only serving a few months with good behavior seems appropriate to me but not likely.

Jake Angeli aka The QAnon Shaman and two others arrested

The latest from DoJ this morning..

Three Men Charged in Connection with Events at U.S. Capitol

Jacob Anthony Chansley, a.k.a. Jake Angeli, of Arizona, was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Chansley was taken into custody today.

It is alleged that Chansley was identified as the man seen in media coverage who entered the Capitol building dressed in horns, a bearskin headdress, red, white and blue face paint, shirtless, and tan pants. This individual carried a spear, approximately 6 feet in length, with an American flag tied just below the blade.

Adam Johnson, 36, of Florida, was charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; one count of theft of government property; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Johnson was arrested yesterday and is currently in custody.

It is alleged that on Jan. 6, 2021, Johnson illegally entered the United States Capitol and removed the Speaker of the House’s lectern from where it had been stored on the House side of the Capitol building. A search of open sources led law enforcement to Johnson, who is allegedly seen in a widely circulated photo inside the Capitol carrying the lectern.

Derrick Evans, 35, of West Virginia, was charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds. Evans was taken into custody Friday.

It is alleged that on Jan. 6, 2021, Evans, a recently elected member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, streamed live to his Facebook page a video of himself joining and encouraging a crowd unlawfully entering the U.S. Capitol. In the video, Evans is allegedly seen crossing the threshold of the doorway into the U.S. Capitol and shouting, “We’re in, we’re in! Derrick Evans is in the Capitol!”

    The circumstances of his
    'otherwise seemingly relatively harmless crimes'
    should considered.

I seriously hope the agencies filing charges have made provisions for the very real possibility of Conman Trump issueing pardons.

Do not file federal charges until Trump is out of office/power.

If they need to file charges now for some reason, make them state charges.

Filing lesser federal charges while holding back more serious charges might not work if blanket pardons are issued.

    1. I would not put anything past Conman.
    2. I can also see our politicians wanting to bury the Capitol Invasion as quickly as possible.
    3. The agencies that allowed the massive security failures, and were probably complicit, certainly want the Capitol Invasion buried and fogotten.

The agencies could file federal charges, knowing a presidential pardon is forthcoming.

They could do what local prosecutors do with Hot Bomb cases.

Overcharge the accused so that they won't be convicted. This tactic is frequently employed when trying LEO'S, It was used in the case of the citizen patrol guy who started a fight with a teenager, got his kicked, then shot and killed the unarmed kid.

Try them as a group. Spread the blame around so the secondary players face the same charges as the serious perpetrators; make convictions as difficult as possible for juries. This tactic is being used with the LEOs involved in murdering George Floyd.

    The number of politicians,
and law enforcement and security agency officials,
defending the lack of anticipation of and preparation for
    the rioting and invasion,
    is making me ill.

I do not normally support "Sue them!" as the answer to every grievance. In this case the Capitol Police deserve to be sued. There appears to be a very clear record of legitimate warnings, with offers for help, that were ignored and declined several times.

I have no idea if Conman Trump can be actually be held liable for inciting the riot (in Congress, yes, in court, doubtful). I do think he needs to answer for the delay in ordering the National Guard to respond.

We have the right to know
    exactly
what was happening, and not happening, in the White House.
    Hearsay reports are not enough.
