fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

I was ecstatic but I could see that for a non-home town team fan that was not a great game.
Agree regarding Jackson. I did not want to see his season end like that.
Now we root for the Browns!
I think they actually have a shot.
The Chiefs were not very good the last month of the season and they have been sitting around for a week. Can the Browns make them look like the Steelers?
    Doubtful but we shall see.

I agree, I hope Jackson is ok. by the replay it just looks like he slammed his head on the ground. but that can be worse than getting hit.

It was a bad day to be a kicker. the ravens kicker justin Tucker never has that happen. hes normally spot on, but the wind played a big factor.

The turning point was the pick 6, the momentum started to turn.

i would love to see Cleveland win. I think they have a chance. KC defense has not been the greatest, so we will see.

The tampa bay vs saints game will either be a great game or a blowout. the combined age of the two qbs is 84 years i think.

KC is vulnerable, and normally I like underdogs, but I haven't yet gotten over my dislike of Baker Mayfield.

Yes, that's a personal issue. All indicators are he has matured as a QB (easy to see), a team leader (a little less easy to see?), and in general (maybe, maybe not, he could just have a naturally arrogant personality, like Brian Cushing).

I've tried to like the Saints over the decades, but they have disappointed me too many times. Also when they won the SB every other guy in Houston "suddenly" became a "lifelong" Saints fan . Remember how many Bulls fans there used to be?

But I'm 100% rooting for the Saints. I want Tom Perfect to have the worst game of his career--10 sacks, 8 picks, & 6 lost fumbles :D--and get benched by the 4th quarter .

Wow, that was a ballsy call on 4th down. Especially without Mahommes.

Was the goal line hit a foul? From what I saw he hit with his shoulder, but what about leading with the helmet? I think it depends on which team you rooted for, or how you bet.

Sorry Browns, but Mahommes going out was a gift. That you didn't take advantage of.

Yes. A victory seems more complete, legitimate, satisfying if it's over a full strength opponent.

S.O.B. The only good thing about the Bucs win is the knife in Belichick's* gut got pushed in deeper.

    FTB.
    Next week.
    Maybe.
    Hopefully.

    And FDB!
For this game, not his career.

I'm pissed off. I was happy earlier today.

    * Did Belichick turn down the Presidential Medal of Freedom because he now knows Conman is a whacko, or just because things are too hot right now?

    Agree.
What I've seen with the Bills players this year with concussions has usually been missing 1-2 weeks of play.
And Mahomes took a major shot to the brain yesterday, judging by the look on his face and his jello legs.
I doubt he's back next weekend and if he is I question the judgment.

At least one well respected sports journalist is saying Deshaun Watson's days as a Texan are definitely numbered.

If this isn't an attention grab (how often are sports reporters held responsible for saying bullshit?), I don't see anything happening until a new HC is hired. The Texans could pull a Dolphins (their plan seems to have worked so far), trade off top players for draft picks, use the '21 season to develop young players, and be serious in '22.

Of course that would require smart people in management making good deals, and the coaching staff utilizing the best players. Not impossible, but we're talking about the Texans.

The Bills managed a great turnaround, but it has taken three years. We were supposed to have done that with Watson. Asking Texans fans to go through a rebuild would be asking a lot. But it might be necessary.

But the Texans really F****d themselves with having no first round pick this year, especially with how high that pick is. That's going to slow rebuilding.

The Falcons hired Terry Fontenot as GM. I don't know if he's a good choice, but he certainly has plenty of experience.

I think it was a good choice, and i think hiring smith as the HC was a good choice as well. The last 2 coaches the falcons have had have been defensive minded coaches. Maybe an offensive minded coach is what the falcons need. They hit the ground running yesterday. more than half of the coaching staff was let go. Smith is not in it for the money. I believe his dad is the founder of FED-EX, so he has money. Seems like he just loves the game. And on the plus side how much money will FED-EX help out with the organization. You figure home depot and fed ex might make a good combination

I hope Dan Campbell does a great job in Detroit. He knows what its like to be a lions player. i believe he was part of the 0-16 team. He said that hes "GONNA PUT MOTOWN BACK ON THE MAP".

The Watson problem seems to just be out of control. Rumor has it he wants to go to either the Jets (why the fuck) or the dolphins. But it will take alot for Houston to let him go.

The Texans have yet to name a HC (Beinemy may be the one) but that will be the hardest job at the end of the day. With the salary cap issues, Deshaun, and Watt it will be a total rebuilding process. Who wants to go there when your franchise QB is wanting out and you dont have a franchise QB.

    What is Philly waiting on?

Rivers announced his retirement.. is he a HOF worthy qb? I personally think so, but some people dont think so cause he does not have a ring.

What are the colts gonna do at the QB situation now? will it be Jacob Eason? Stafford?

You have to be kidding, right?
That's like wishing for career cancer for a QB.

I need to research this further, but from what I've read so far
nothing about Deshaun Watson has came directly from him.

    Am I wrong?

    Edit...I'll try again...
I feel for Frank Reich. He walked into a great situation with the Colts, lost his franchise QB, and is now losing his Help Us Win Now QB.

    Love Fitz.
If your upper limit of expectations for the season is 8-8, maybe 9-7, then he's your guy.
Great option to lead the team in respectable fashion while a young QB gains experience.

Agree, I think he was a good mentor to Tua. I just hope he listened. He may be a good backup for the Chargers to helpout Justin

To my knowledge Fitz is still healthy, although he might not be quite as zippy as he was five years ago. If his spirit is willing, why not collect a few million a year as long as he can?

I sometimes think about three local college QBs and what happened when they entered the NFL.

Johnnie Manziel, Texas A&M. Heisman Trophy winner. Late 1st round draft pick. Boozer, stoner, party animal. Wouldn't put in the work. Lasted less than 1.5 seasons in the NFL. Flopped in the CFL. Might have intentionally got tossed, hoping for an eventual return to the NFL. Even his former coaches in the failed pro football leagues wouldn't hire him (one did, the league folded).

Ryan Tannehill, Texas A&M. I would need to look up his draft history. Was written off as a flop with the Dolphins. Has proven himself to be adequate and above average with the Titans.

Case Keenum, Univ of Houston. Great college career. Undrafted. Practice squads two NFL teams. Unspectacular, mediocre as a starter. One great season as fill-in for the Vikings. Back to mediocrity. Currently, I think, earning 4M a year as a back-up in Cleveland. Has made a lot of money for a journeyman yo-yo QB.

Those are some good ones. Personally johnny football was destined for failure from the beginning. he went to cleveland and seemed not to have any direction.
Tannehill is a good way to show that with the right coaches and the person to put in the hard work a person can thrive .

some qbs can make it in the NFL and others cant.

But Fitz career is on the downhill. I believe he is 38
