I'm interested in hearing about "slimy" Biden.
That's how you referred to Biden in another thread.

I firmly believe VPs are not the Do Nothings like they are frequently portrayed. And Biden has been in politics a very long time, even before eight years as VP.

Bush the Elder was the former CIA director. Don't tell me he didn't play a large role in Reagan's secret dealings.

Cheney, and Bush the Lesser. Cheney ran the secret dealings,
    possibly/probably without Bush's knowledge.

There's a new sheriff in town.
I hope they're able to make a dent in the abuses.
Biden taps Warren ally Chopra to lead Consumer Bureau

I don't he'll get as targeted as the spotlight Warren got. (she seems to push their buttons)
    Not that I mind her...she's a fighter.

I still think Biden's is putting up temp directors, then will switch them as fast as T did to put in place certain players. But he'll be secured by then (so will Congress, less controversy.)

That's the problem for the GOP, T and MM tactics can be now used against them for the Dems benefit.
They can't claim foul as well. Your opponents will get the same weapons, sooner or later.
And they've already seen the big switch hypocrite plays. And will call bluffs.

Unlike the typical American public, politicians have long memories. (fool me once...)

    Something odd???
By my clocks the actual swearing-in took place at 10:49 AM CST (11:49 AM EST). Of course +/- a minute or two either way.

She's quite impressive. Biden is going to have a busy schedule dealing with tough issues; I can see Harris being an unusually active VP.

Actually...having Conman Trump on record with written communications could be beneficial. Possibly for legal reason, definitely for history.

Conman Trump's Tweets fed his base of loyal supporters.
Those were not the voters he needed to schmooze.

His Tweets also helped his fringe supporters--and a lot of people were normally apolitical--see what kind of person he really is. They didn't like what they saw.
Those were the voters he needed to schmooze.

    Edit..schmooze, not smooze.

I'll call him Joe. Word is he's not into titles.
(Can you imagine the tantrum Conman might have
thrown if someone dared to not acknowledge his superior position?)
I hope he doesn't earn any derogatory nicknames.
(I don't mean insults from his detractors attacking him regardless of what he does.)
