Tens of thousands of voters drop Republican affiliation after Capitol riot

Nice ! Gotta wonder about states that don't report or people who

What is the goal of a conservative party ?
All my voting age life it's been,
promote christianity in it's most cruel and and unaccepting ways.
Treat public administration like business which are clearly different with very different goals
Promote public land use to the detriment of environment.
Push racist goals across the board, particularly squash voting opertunity where mostly POC live.
    Squash education opertunity
Promote legacy fuel systems that hold back manufacturing from forward thinking like electric cars.
    General push back of meritocracy.

I get that every career/job dosn't require a college degree, but every human benefits from higher ed. Liberal arts ed hasn't directly raised my economic status but it has given me a better overall ability to navigate life.
Ignorance dosn't make a better citizen or employee.

I have never seen the conservative adjendas to promote a better society or economy across the board, only to entrance legacy money and ideas.
I mean there was a time when mercury was a medicine...
And now I hear that george washington may have had wooden teeth but also tore the teeth out of his own slaves to have dentures made...so, it's a good thing we learned and moved beyond that right ???
If george washington tore out his slaves teeth what does that say about human sex trafficking and child sex abuse in early slave owning days ? I mean if pudding pop Bill Cosby can drug and screw girls illegally what did we used to do to humans we thought of as owned animals ?
Good we moved beyond that ? Or did we ?

I just see the GOP as a bunch of angry ignorant people led by oppertunistic lawyers yanking their pit bull dog chains.

Republicanism needs a ground up rebuild and toss out the Ayn Rand books.

I won't pretend to have a good understanding of the GOP prior to say 1980.

Other than Nixon. And I don't hold the GOP completely responsible for his actions. The Ford Nixon Sweetheart Deal most certainly involved GOP leaders, but the Democrat leadership let them get away with it, and probably helped set it up. The phrase"time to heal" might sound familiar...esp now.

The GOP I've seen starting with Raygun is a party for the wealthy; Welfare For The Wealthy was term used by some political writers.

Cut taxes supposedly to encourage hiring, spending, etc (and to win votes from those most likely to vote).

Cut social programs to show fiscal responsibility (actually to make up revenue lost to tax cuts; the poor don't organize to vote).

Maintain the status quo, the elite know what's best for everyone (and they get $pecial treatment because they are the elite, they deserve more).

    And that's just in general.

Conman Trump's loyal rectal cleaners are fair game for anything. When you throw bullshit don't complain when it gets thrown back.

If I posted videos, and invited news coverage, of me saying a certain "dandy"* US Senator has committed treason, and the penalty for treason is death, and the "dandy" deserves a bullet in the head, I would be visited by humorless people carrying badges and pistols.

    * Dandy is an old, possibly antiquated term, used in the Southern US to describe a man who is effeminate, and usually homosexual.

This is for all the above...

This is same line that I used with my ex when confronting her and then splitting...

“The fact that that we are having these arguments is part of the problem.”

We shouldn’t be arguing who did what and when
He said, she said...your perspective and ours.
If it’s right to do something about it or ignore it.
    Etc and so on...

How did we get to the place we’re in this situation???

No, you shouldn’t cater to violence
    No, you shouldn’t allow lies
No, you shouldn’t vote in crazy people
    And so on...

We have gone from logic and basic human principles.

    Catering to spin and whim.
Sure they can talk a good talk
But you’re being gaslighted, conned, sweeping toxins under the rug.

Sure, you may be able to posture or deflect
But is it right, it is wrong
    Are you hurting others???

Many in the GOP have forgotten this.
Selfishness and insanity are very REAL
    And shouldn’t be defended
    No matter the “side”

Yep I'm old enough to remember Dandy as a pejorative or pronoun with a sexuality association.
I don't care if LG is gay or not, I see (if he is) the ability to live life with that amount of cognitive dissonance at your own personal core while society trying at least (I think) to accept open gayness as within the scope of normal human existence and not offensive...fuck it's so absurd we're even talk about this still....

So having said that reviewing my image I kinda felt it leans towards using trans as a pejorative too, though the intent was to point at disinformation, hypocrisy etc.
So, if the image seems like it's suggesting being trans is a bad thing to be..I missed the mark with it and I'd delete it. But I'm not sure how it comes off. It's not manipulated aside from a filter called hagrid which grittys up an image.

But then damn ! I didn't hear about the Rothschild lasers burning up the west coast !?!
    Wow.

"The fight for the soul of the Republican Party is right now. Whose side are you on?"

The above is a new ad, released hours ago, from the Republican Accountability Project

More about the Republican Accountability Project...

It is far too soon to know which Republican Party will survive but will be fascinating to follow the internal civil war over the course of the year and going into the 2022 mid-term election.

I don't see a fight for a new (I would use revised) GOP. Fixing what is wrong would be messy, and would mean losing elections and power.

Secret agreements will be made between GOP candidates not to mention the actions of Conman loyalists. The Republicans will act as though everything is business as usual, the Conman situation was greatly exaggerated, and what second impeachment voting?.

The above ^ could be made interesting by Repbublican candidates borrowing from Conman's playbook to run as Independent/Outsider Republicans.

There might be some change, perhaps a few high profile Republicans will be replaced. For example Dandy Graham "retiring" could be reported as a major move within the party, but his replacement would not change anything.

The big question for the GOP is
how will they handle the attacks from the Democratic candidates, esp in 2022 while Conman and his loyalists' stench is still (somewhat) fresh in voter's memories?

The question is who will come out to vote in 2022 and 2024? Will the Trumpist Republicans come out to vote and propel rural and suburban areas to wins? Basically, any Republican is better than a Democrat. Or will they just not care because there are no rallies and no national figure with popularity to motivate them to vote? Or that the boring moderate Republicans who have limits to how far they will go to win won't get their votes?

I can see some candidates borrowing Conman's "Outsider" rhetoric and attaching themselves to the GOP. Would they have the charisma of Conman? Would they need it? Keep in mind Ted "BORING" Cruz managed to fire up folks in GA.

A related digression: What if Conman ends up makes a very nice living off speaker fees? Such as at campaign rallies?

    There won’t be a fix
    Until they feel the pain

They’re going to rage until water is thrown on them

    They’ve got a temper problem
    Need anger management

But sufferers of this don’t typically do something
    Until forced to

The only thing to do is keep nailing them for the bad
Keep ignoring and pushing forward despite

    Do the right thing
    And keep the pressure on

There’s a serious dysfunction in them, unfortunately
They won’t figure it out, they’re in denial
    Very sad state

During a C-SPAN call-in show, a Republican from Delaware on Thursday casually repeated the false QAnon conspiracy theory that Democrats eat babies.

"I support President Trump," John began. "I think he's got to get back in there in that White House and he can't get people like Marjorie Taylor Greene out of office."

"We need women like her in there otherwise these Democrats are going to keep eating the babies and cutting faces off of them. We need President Trump, we elected him and it's time he get back in there and do his job."

C-SPAN caller: 'Democrats are going to keep eating the babies and cutting faces off of them'

I had a toasted turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch; no babies on the menu today.

Honestly, if the caller (and Q people) would just say that Democrats are "killing" babies and ripping the faces off of them, it would be understandable and not loony. They could point to the abortion issue as why they say those things. But eating babies...I just don't get it.

This video of the Senate Republican Leader's remarks on the floor of the Senate should be part of the Democrats opening argument at the Senate impeachment trial.

My question is why a large portion of the GOP believing something completely different and even not connected with reality???
It's almost religious. (except I don't want to insult religion)

‘There’s Nothing Left’: Why Thousands of Republicans Are Leaving the Party

I agree with the exodus...but most will be Independents than Dems.

Kinda like me, wants to be pissed at both sides...not catering to either.
But, they end up allying with the Dems...for now. (if the Dems become dicks or corrupt again, then they'll find other playmates)

Right now the GOP is the schoolyard bully that many are pissed at or lost respect for.

Exclusive: Dozens of former Republican officials in talks to form anti-Trump third party — Reuters

And now they’re talking about another party
    Which is good ideal wise.

    I don’t know if it’s decent strategically
Because you’ll split the vote of a minority party

    However, you gotta start somewhere
Maybe they’ll draw in conservatives from all stripes, including Dems and Independents.
Many who don’t want to parley with the GOP for what it’s become.

Personally, I still feel most will stay independent
Goes along with that stand on your own mindset

It all depends on what that new party is. Meet The Press had an interesting poll that showed that there are 17% in each group right now from the far left, the moderate left, the moderate right, and the far-right. 30% either didn't want to say or don't care it seems.

The Libertarian and Green parties should be represented too.

However, in my little part of the US, the amount of people fleeing the GOP (or dying/moving/new voters) is about 2%-4% per election. The Democrats lose by 20% at best. Now, if there was a split, I would hope that Romney/Kasich voters would outnumber the Trump voters here, but I should look up the 2016 primary data to see.

I don't know how it could be implemented, but I think if the current Senate was dissolved and we moved to a national parliament, it would get more people interested in voting, because their votes matter if they are red votes in blue states or blue votes in red states. However, it could also end up like late 1930's Germany where the Nazi Party took over...
