  2. We've had very few donations over the year. I'm going to be short soon as some personal things are keeping me from putting up the money. If you have something small to contribute it's greatly appreciated. Please put your screen name as well so that I can give you credit. Click here: Donations

I have 256 posts since 8/1/11. By my math, that's well over 2 posts/day, yet happy posting bot is not happy

it is not the statistic that matters. It is the action, you must post 2 posts every day. You can have .04 posts/day as an average and still get in by posting 2 posts today. Tomorrow you will have to post 2 more. It resets every day.

Please note that only certain forums count towards post count, not blogs, profile messages, or status updates.

Further, being a donor removes that requirement.

2 posts per day for how long?

And with all due respect, it's a silly metric. 2 actual posts per day trumps a nearly 3 posts per day average?

I do not foresee it going away at anytime in the future.

The focus is centered around discussions. Posting games are a reward for contributing to the discussions.

I did not write the mod. It is what I needed since it is simple and effective enough.

    Becoming a donor trumps all.

I agree. And I think I contribute quite a bit to discussions

Please tickle my toggle. I donated through PayPal a couple of days ago.

Your toggle's already tickled. Let me know if you're still not getting in.

  9. Yeah, I made $2400 this week, why exactly should I give some to you?

It doesn't matter how much you make. You don't have to give anything, at all.

Most members here contribute because they want to. Some college students here give $5 even though they don't make $240 a week. They do it because they like the community enough to keep it going.

  11. Ok, just wondering, so I should donate because you perceive me as a badass?

Gosh, I need to post more to be able to post more, what a conundrum?

No, you decide you want to donate on your own. This place has weathered 10 years of people donating and not donating. I can't tell people why they should donate. It's up to them to decide for themselves. You'll note that there's not a single advertisement on this space, all the costs of server and bandwidth have been carried either by the community or me directly.

The point is that you decide on your own not because you make a lot of money or a little bit of money.

If we're having a measuring contest, you lose. I made roughly $18,000 on Friday.

Give or don't give. If you read the beginning of the thread, you understand the benefit it gives. If you can't be bothered, then you don't understand.

There are benefits to donation. There are no benefits for not donating.
