Facebook will not let Trump back on platform

    Thank goodness
Anything to keep the loudmouth quiet

We still gotta figure out how to convince the GOP to let him go.

    Will jail do it???
He’s got more than enough criminal investigations brewing against him

I was hoping the Republicans might make an effort to work with Biden as a start to separating, or at least distancing, from Trump. But no, they're still in Screw Biden mode.

When preparations for the 2022 mid-terms elections start it'll be interesting to see where Trump is in the GOP. And if he's a free man, legally speaking.

"DeSantis can't". That sounds good, I already want a second plate please

    Nope, no soup for you!

Do not pass go, do not collect $200
Go directly to trail (not jail yet)

New York wants ya back Mr. T, in a bad way
    Not the way you want.

Florida can’t be your total sunshine state

Frankly, sounds like many of your neighbors there don’t want ya around too.

Where’s a bully boy go when he’s been bad?

There’s always the red states out yonder
But you don’t like those, they’re uncivilized in your mind.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Don’t mind us, if we don’t wish you luck.

Texas would welcome Trump with open arms, and any businesses that want might want to follow him here. Houston, and Dallas to a lesser extent, are very international cities. Trump could enjoy high culture (pretend to for appearances in his case) while avoiding contact with the peasants here as easily as he did in NYC.

FTR I don't want him here.

    He won't go...
    1. He's an East Coast guy (and lots of old-school east coaster went to FL) - yes, it's irrational and biased...but that's the type of guy he is.
    2. Wants to be in his own Trump resort/hotel (write offs under his biz, that's his MO ...plus he can be the unsorted lord and master with his employee/slaves who cater and won't say boo - or leak)

I do wonder if he would ever get close to being convicted and sentenced to jail if he doesn't have an island somewhere to hide out in exile. Being in "jail" on an island would beat being in real jail. Or if he doesn't have some arrangement with Putin to help him out with a place to stay in Russia.

From the conservative Republican Accountability Project ...

"I don't think anybody is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election. I think that is all over with."
~ House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy

Nobody is questioning the legitimacy of the election? Oh Really?

Only if you conveniently and cowardly ignore the whining statements and comments by the Loser-in-Chief for the last six months, including several times a week for the last month on his lame loser blog.

Let's hope Shyster Trump quickly winds up serving a very long prison sentence. We taxpayers are paying for at least some of his travels and his Secret Service protection.

Hypothetically speaking of course, what would happen if a certain ex-president goes to jail? Aside from hilarious for late night talk shows

    Interesting perspective...

One can hope the right thing is done
And two, hope there’s a rational response

But these days, there seems to be a very irrational trend
Amongst a good portion of the population
Although certainly not a majority...just VERY vocal and aggressive.

And it doesn’t help that we’ve got other opposition countries stoking the flames.

Still, you’ve got to do the right thing.

I would like to see several trials and convictions of Trump.

As a private citizen for financial fraud. Basically for presenting one set of financial records for tax purposes, and another set for securing financing for his businesses. Forensic accounting should easily reveal this, but of course procuring the actual records has proven to be difficult.

Trump's political trials could cover many actions.
His attempt to influence the voting recount in Georgia.
Him using Counselori Giuliani for political purposes.
    His creative manipulation of fundraising.
    Just to name a few.

Facebook suspends Trump's accounts for 2 years, citing public safety risk — NBC News

    Great call!

Now if we can just get the governments to stop investigating and just ACT!

Geez, this would be like letting a master criminal keep stealing while they just investigate forever.

Wait, he IS a master criminal who keeps stealing
AND he’s putting lives at risk.

AND he’s threatening the actual way of governing.

    America, he’s threatening America.

The big unknown is how effective he will be at keeping the right-wing factions together over the next year and then again in 3 years. What will be the Democrats response to his rallies and TV appearances? (if he can stay out of legal trouble...) And what happens to any hope of governing if the active and angry conservatives of the country start making noise and pushing their politicians and media people, along with flooding the social media/online world like they did back in 2009 and 2015?

    I don't think he'll be effective.
It's just about his allies and supporters using him as a rallying point for their obscure vision.
I think it's just about anger now, trying to fill a cultural void they long for. (whereas the leadership is doing it for power)

But there are going to be some serious doozy landmines that explode before the next election.
So it's a matter if he is damaged by them.

I'm not going to lay down any bets until we get closer to election time.

Right now, it's the Dems to lose...see if they actually act and play good offense/defense.
    Trump is a mad dog.

This ^ is my big concern. A massive push by the right in general, and the crazy right specifically, combined with complacency from the voters who made the difference for the Democrats in 2020. Especially if the new tighter voting restrictions in several states (including scared shitless Texas) hold up in court.
