If elected to a 2nd term, I wouldn't put it past NPD Trump to try to find a way to extend his term. Maneuver the US into a situation where a presidential change would be difficult or very unwise (sort of like Mayor Counselori Giuliani and 9/11).

Also the vindictive paybacks for slights imagined, real, & exaggerated.

I'm not sure the former guy is skilled enough to pull that off. The only thing I could see the GOP do in many states that they control is to have the state legislature decide which candidate "won" by which electors they send, regardless of the actual vote.

The GOP is going to win or has state government control in states that equal 269, plus an extra 4 in New Hampshire, but I think they wouldn't be corrupt and willing to cheat to win. Having to win in Iowa, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and Maine in 2024 might be hard though if those are the "swing" states.

*I made a mistake. Iowa is controlled by the GOP, so they could send their 6 electors to cast the votes.

If Donald Trump were to be elected President in 2024 - after being impeached twice and brazenly instigating the riots on January 6th - I can't see how he'd be under the impression that there really are too many pragmatic limits on his power. What that means is tough to guess - but I'd think the government would be basically overrun with him and his family using the full authority of the US government to make as much money and connections as possible.

Outside the likely narcissitic personality disorder issues, I'm not convinced it's not more to his advantage to continually agitate and campaign without winning.

    How so?

I don't see NPD Trump seeing any benefit to getting any Republican other than himself elected POTUS.

He still controls the mob. There are others that have favorable status and will use a more Country Club version to sell the same policies to the white workers harmed by "diversity' hires and promotions, and the unspoken underlining issue of fewer white women for relationships if certain interracial couples are socially acceptable. Vaccine mandates are helping solidify their base and expand it (even if the vast majority of those over 65 have received the vaccine), the conservatives are picking up the 18-40 year olds that they had been losing.

Well, I'm somewhat of the opinion that he didn't really expect to win in 2016. I think that could explain why he basically ran with a close circle more well versed in how to embezzle money and set up media campaigns. I have always ascribed to the idea that he, Bannon, Manafort and those guys were going to set up some Trump/Breitbart Media Group springboarding off of his campaign.

He has been "campaigning" (raising and controlling money) the whole time. I think he has the best of both worlds right now - assuming he doesn't go to jail. He gets to raise, control and spend money, he gets to pop off at the mouth and spread insanity....and he has no real responsibility. Biden is eating his shit right now with Afghanistan, supply chain and gas prices in the wake of COVID....

Staying out of jail is the only real motivation I can see....and the narcissism.

The NPD Trump administration left behind so many messes sorting them out is a major task. But I definitely agree that the DOJ is taking too long and seems to be leary of actual making anyone pay.

The DOJ is trying to walk a fine line between prosecution and perceived persecution. It's a shame that re-elections and politics control the DOJ.

What REALLY pisses me off is that it took this LONG in time to criticize, much less alert or address the chaos and damage and insanity.

    They ALLOWED this to happen
    They Repressed it.
    They did NOT address it.

The checks and gaps in our system are profound!

AND if the megalomaniac runs again (and he will…)
They NEED to scream out these issues and history

There seems to be no sense of responsibility to STOP such a dangerous situation.

    It’s like we’re watching a horrid crime
and no one calls the cops
No one tries to stop it
    No one yells out
Just whisper “how terrible”…and lets it go on.

We’re in HUGE trouble if we actually get someone in that’s intelligent and competent…but insane and tyrannical.

One question I rarely hear asked (not that I keep up with every piece NPD Trump news) is why were Counselori Giuliani and Powell (and certainly others) acting as government officials when they were supposed to be NPD Trump's personal attorneys? This had to have broken some laws.

    #TrumpCoupAttempt

It seems to be trending...but will the momentum continue and grow???
Will they actually do something about it?

Not with the GOP - not needing super majorities to act.

Really the states have the best chance. New York the most.

    Right now, it's a clusterfuck.

But some interesting media in the threat. Good memes.
Just gets ya pissed off.:confused::rolleyes:

Former Trump administration officials hold call to strategize against former boss' efforts in 2022 and 2024 — CNN Politics

Pretty bad when a large group of your former employees gather to figure out how to stop you and ruin your reputation

    Problem is, he doesn’t care
    His allies don’t care

And he’s done more to ruin it
    But his fans don’t care

This is why we can’t have nice things…

Y’gotta scream louder than the circus
    Gotta have more energy

Including fighting off the barbarians at the gate.
    Cause they WILL attack

Unfortunately NPD Trump's comment about him murdering (shooting?) someone and getting away with is mostly true.

    Well, fortunately at the moment
There are so many things not going T’s way
Or new leaks and findings coming out
    I can’t keep up

T is having a bad January end
And February is typically a horrible month
So I hope the momentum keeps going badly for him.

Schadenfreude of Ts increasing woes would be my favorite thing.

Quiet part loud: Trump says Pence ‘could have overturned the election’

The man just can't keep his mouth shut...even when it can hurt him.
    Diarrhea of the mouth.

Not that I mind...he can admit all crimes he wants.

Unfortunately, the DOJ will drag their feet doing anything about it, if ever.:mad:
This is why we can't have nice things.

That...or we're constantly cleaning up diarrhea in what's supposed to be a nice place.
