The Braves pitching--yet again--bent but didn't break. The Atros piching did their job, two runs, although the late homer really hurt the Atros chance of a rally. I'm getting more than a little concerned about the Astros.

The three Watt brothers on one team sounds great, but the reality is JJ would basically help take some attention away from a more threatening pass rusher. If JJ had stayed healthy he probably would've helped Chandler Jones get some better numbers, which of course would help the team, which is why the Cardinals wanted him.

    The Texans played well...
    in the 4th quarter...
    after falling behind by 37-0.

I'm pretty sure that grand slam a few minutes ago will win the World Series for the Atlanta Braves. It's possible the Astros normally active batters will suddenly wake up, but it doesn’t seem likely.

Where did the Jets come from?
    Tampa bay almost blew it.
The Dallas backup qb looked good.
The braves gave it away, but its ok, We will win it Tuesday night.
Who is worse, the Lions or the jaguars?
Carson Wentz just needs to think

Jets.....who knows? They are still a bad football team.
The Bucs did blow it. I was thrilled when Brady threw that pick 6 in the last 2 minutes.
Lions-Jaguars is a tough one, it will be a battle down to the wire! I don't know if the Lions are going to win any games though so they are in the drivers seat.

The Lions look great one week and shitty the next week. Dan Campbell is trying so hard.

You know that Stafford is on cloud 9 and Goff is thinking What The Fuck did i do to deserve this

I keep telling myself "Think 2022 draft, think 2022 draft, think 2022 draft."

Seeing Brady lose the game by throwing a pick six that certainly appears to be on him was great.

    MLB World Series:
One of the sports people was commenting that last nights comeback might mean the Astros may have now seen enough of the Braves' pitching to figure it out. I'm not sold. I'm not even cautiously optimistic.

If im not mistaken we still have 2 or 3 pitchers in the bullpen that we have not used.

Will the Dolphins make a move for Watson before tomorrows deadline?

Not if they’re smart. I can see Watson being suspended a full season by the NFL, and he could end up serving prison time if prosecuters pursue rape charges and Watson is convicted. What team would trade for Watson under those circumstances (well, now that Bill O'Brien is out of the NFL)?

Edit: Hopefully the Braves' reserve relief pichers are reserve because they suck ;).

What's strange is quite a few folks in Houston have a Prove It attitude towards the Astros.

    Braves take it all tonight,,,

The NFL cant really do anything to Watson yet. I know that the Texans and teams that are interested in him want him to settle out of court, but he does not want to. he was quoted as saying something to the affect if he does that it means he is guilty, I know that he still practices with the team

Actually the NFL suspended Ezekiel Elliot before he was convicted (IIRC that case was droped???). Goodell is a yo-yo when it come to who gets punished.

I hope the Astros have more confidence in themselves than a lot of us in Houston.

    :(

The Astros went out without so much as a whimper. Seven to zero, and they were never really in the game.

I'm happy for the Braves manager Brian Snitker (love his last name!).

I'm very disappointed in the Astros. Yeah, I know, they made it to the world series, quit whining.

His son is the hitting coach for Houston,
Go braves. they worked hard for it. I watched the postgame til 2 am, it was on all the local channels til sometime, I fell asleep

Adrian Peterson was signed by Tennessee, wonder how well that will work out.

Watson stayed in Houston, is he getting paid?

Maybe son was doing dad a secret favor? :p

Does Peterson have anything left? Can he catch passes? I know Henry is injured, but I don't know the details.

Yes, Watson is getting paid...very well. He gets frustrated by the media attention, but he brought on himself. He doesn’t deny sexual contact with some of the masseurs, says it was consensual (and obviously he is following legal advice, all comments are through his attorney). He's also the one who signed a new contract when he must have seen that Bill O'Brien was a lousy coach and a clueless GM, and the Texans were falling apart.

Last season the Texans sucked, yet Watson had a great season. Without the sexual assault allegations, he would be worth a fortune in draft picks and some starters.

Let me be clear: The allegations against Watson must be thoroughly investigated, and depending on the results he must be held accountable. I mean legally and by the NFL.

When all is said & done, I just hope the Texans aren't left holding an empty bag. The NFL shouldn't let Watson wiggle out of his contract no matter what happens (unless Watson has to serve at minimum 15 years in prison, which would basically kill his NFL career). If it takes a few years to get the Watson crap sorted out, the NFL should make certain Watson's remains under contract with the Texans. Any team still wanting Watson should have to negotiate a deal with the Texans.

Six points. The Bills scored six points against the Jaguars.

The Texans couldn't look good against the Dolphins, another 1-7 team.

Glad to see the cowgirls have an off day.

Really stupid 4th down decision, Reid, way too early, very bad field position. You got lucky on the tipped/blocked FG.

Aaron Rodgers is an asshole. I don't believe his vaccination excuse, but if true, he had the JNJ option. Selfish.

Saw some really weird stats. I forget which game, but the team with over twice the time of possession lost the game. EDIT: Maybe not.

    That Bills game was revolting.
Their offensive line should have stayed home and watched from their couches in Buffalo. They would have accomplished just as much.
And the officiating was truly horrific.
The game started with back to back penalty calls on the wrong team.
And it only got worse from there.

    6 points was odd,
alot of games were out of sorts this weekend

As far as Aaron Rodgers, I watch the Pat mcafee show everyday. so i did the entire interview. its his choice.
The packers knew that he was not vaccinated as far as the NFL is concerned, and alot of the media knew it also. Their are alot of players in the NFL and other sporting organizations that are not vaccinated. To me he is just a high profile player that has contracted it so the NFL and people are going to blow it out of portion.
Goes back to .....Am i vaccinated? yes I am, is my coworker that works beside me?? no.... His choice,

This is the entire 47 minute interview

Rodgers is the QB, the leader of the team. His choice? Yes, his choice to risk getting sidelined and letting down the entire team.

The loss yesterday is directly on Rodgers.
The Chiefs were horrible. Very beatable.
Rodgers cost his team a win.

I hope Rodgers lost a full paycheck.

I feel the same way about any athlete, and regular Working Joe's.

A person who has no reason not to get vaccinated (three vaccinations to chose from) other than "It's MY right,"
    who works around others,
yet chooses not to get vaccinated,
is totally selfish, stupidly stubborn, &
    intentionally contrary.

I make no apology for being opinionated when it comes to vaccinations against a deadly virus.

    Update:
I'm hearing a news report that Rodgers has lost (at least) one endorsement deal.
    Good.
He says he's being picked on. He wants to use his celebrity to make extra money. Guess what? When you embrace celebrity status you embrace celebrity scrutiny.

Yes the loss was directly on him, had he been playing they would probably have ran all over the Chiefs.

Don't expect an apology for being opinionated, we all have that right. Don't apologize for your opinion

I'm not saying he is right or wrong. But why bash him and not bash anyone else that is not vaccinated? Their are plenty of other players and coaches that are not for what ever reason. Cole Beasley is another player that took a stand on not getting the shot., why did people quit giving him shit?

Well to start, Beasley didn't lie to his teammates like Rodgers did.
And he hasn't compared himself to MLK Jr. yet either that I know of.
Nor has his anti-vaccine stupidity cost his team a game (yet) like Rodgers just did.

Plus one for what fflowley posted.
Beasley, to my knowledge, doesn't have several large endorsement deals, which increase his visibility and celebrity staus. Rodgers does.

Cole Beasley can be replaced with some effort. Replacing Rodgers, an elite starting QB, would require much more effort and time.

Rodgers dug the hole deeper with his explanation. I didn’t know Seth Rogen was a medical doctor and/or medical scientist. The MLK reference was so fucking stupid I now question Rodgers' IQ.

This could also hit the Packers very hard. If they placed loose with the Covid protocols, the NFL could hammer them. I don't think that will happen. I get the impression the NFL Covid Protocols are for show only, and are enforced selectively. Going after the Packers could mean exposing many teams with lax Covid Prtocol enforcement; the NFL doesn't want that.
