Does anyone here actively play the market?

    I would still be patient with deploying capital.
    It could easily get worse before it gets better.

    I just put a bunch of my cash opportunity account money into Treasury Inflation Protected Securities. While I bide my time searching (hoping) for opportune equities.

    Yes I am still in "selll the rallies" mode.
    If today is another up day I'm selling S&P 500 index exposure.
    I like international markets more than the US over the next 5 years.

    You're young, don't worry.
    You have a long investment horizon and you are still a buyer of assets, so it's not bad to be buying them at lower valuations.

    I put 8% of my check into it. And it adds up. I really not sure how its invested. my employer uses Voya. I should proablly check into that

    You almost certainly have options.
    With most company retirement plans the default if you haven't provided a specific investment plan, is a "target date" fund.
    They look at your age and likely retirement date and select investments that are appropriate, and then adjust them as the years go by to keep them that way.
    Most target date funds are efficient and a good choice for people who wouldn't or shouldn't want to manage their own investment strategy.
    Voya is a good reputable plan manager.

    I had never herd of Voya, but from what i have read about you are correct they are reputable
