They were overdue a letdown. Unfortunately it came against a division rival.

    ^ ???

The Eagles were 8-0 (now 8-1), the Commanders were 4-5 (now 5-5).

The Eagles blew a great opportunity to improve their NFC East lead over the cowgirls, who lost to the Packers. The Eagles' loss hurt them even more because the Giants beat the Texans.

The Eagles will be on the rebound from what should be considered a humiliating loss. Maybe if they’re missing some key players.

The Giants. I'm not sold on them being as good as their record (same for the Jets).

I've read many reports on how the Packers have let Rodgers down by not getting him some offensive help. Last night he looked a little gun shy in the fourth quarter, unwilling to wait for the receivers. But the Titans' D had a lot to do with that.

How about Todd Downing. I totally forgot about that..
Its a bad situation no matter which way you look at it.

Downing needs to admit to making a mistake, & accept the consequences.

The big question is was he drinking on the Titans' flight and/or at their facility? I very seriously doubt that many NFL teams follow the official NFL no alcohol policy.

This could be a very messy situation for the Titans. Or not, depending on what actually happened, what Downing says, & most importantly what the NFL decides it wants to know.

Sorry, Texans, yet again you're playing a NFC East team. A Commanders win might hurt the cowgirls, & you really need to draft a top quality (hopefully) QB. Mills threw a pick 6 while I was typing this, after our guy dropped what should've been a certain pick.

Mentioning the 'girls, I'm rooting for the Vikings.

The Bills won but there isn't that much good to say about it.
Well, Ok, they stopped the run game against one of the better running offenses in the league.
But they still looked very vulnerable, particularly in the secondary.

The Bills' kicked six field goals. Nineteen points from their kicker. Not good. That'll get you the occasional win, but it's not something to rely on.

There have been, & are, some seriously sucky QB performances today.

I wonder what Davis Mills stats would be if you removed the stats from say the last eight minutes of the games he has started. Lovie Smith likes to mention the Texans have been competitive in all of their games except one (this was before today's game). Whatever.

The Bills really are a head scratcher right now.
They started the season beating the Rams (SB champions who we now know aren't very good), the Chiefs, the Titans, the Ravens.
The cream of the crop of the AFC.
Then Zach Wilson and Kirk Cousins dismantled them.
So this week the Jets go an entire game without a TD, and Cousins and the Vikings lose to the Cowboys 40-3.
    So who's really actually good?

The second half of the season should be really interesting. Most teams with great records aren't winning or are winning small, some teams with mediocre records are now playing well & winning.

There were a lot of strange games yesterday. Good QBs barely passing for 100 yards. Good offenses barely getting over 10 first downs. Extremely close scores with blowout stats.

The Vikings were a massive disappointment. I'm really glad I only saw a few bits of the game. And now the cowgirls look...legitimate.

    Mentioning the 'girls...
Elliott is making the huge $$$, while Pollard is the new star (ha, ha, ha) who can run and catch.

I can see the Chargers being a contender next year

The problem is Chargers' fans are sick of hearing "next year."

I think we're going to see more franchise QBs deciding to jump ship when they see their current team as stagnating.

I feel bad for the Lions, esp their offense. Their defense couldn't hold the Bills for 28 seconds to force OT.
