The assmouths on our local GOP "news radio" station are doing their best to spin the 2022 midterms into a victory over Biden. One of their guest analyst referred to the results as "the red trickle" and said one big mistake the Repubs made was not offering any solutions to inflation.

    Indeed.

Harping on more funding for the police and having stricter judges is easy.

Telling how you're going to stop inflation, especially in a brief ad, is something very different.

The party of Trump pays for being the party of Trump

    Well, no shit.
What would you hope to expect???

The fact that they even had a chance is absurd, the American voters as a whole should look at themselves in the mirror with a huge hangover...
And look at what they woke up with after a bender and wonder if they have a drinking problem.

Now the GOP should wonder if it needs to commit itself to the insane asylum.
It doesn't look if it's going to be voluntary or not.

But voters as a whole...saw who they were in the car with...and pulled over.
Hopefully the cops come and take the bad driver away. A menace to society.

And hopefully both the US and GOP both realize they have a serious problem with the desire for bad boys.

Find someone that you'd take home to mama.
Boring but steady will help build back credit, a good home and better family. :)

I tell ya, I could use some boring right now. :p
Those damn MAGA frat boys fucked up the neighborhood...hit some vehicles. :(

NY Times paywall. There are many articles detailing how loyalty to NPD Trump led to Repub defeats.

Setting aside my desire to see NPD Trump go to prison...
It might be beneficial to have him run for POTUS in 2024, provided he loses big time.
Loses the GOP nomination (possible but not probable?), & splits off as an independent, weakening the GOP voter base.

Possibly a slow process to move away from NPD Trump:
Top GOP leaders stop taking, & stop returning, his calls.
Donors start giving to the GOP, not to his campaign.
The GOP stops funding his political efforts (& his legal bills).
Only his base votes for him.

Is anybody going to watch the Mike Pence interview tonight?

The teasers I've seen appear to confirm at least two things:
Pence is a wimp who makes Jimmy Carter look like a serious badass.
Pence is still reluctant to criticize NPD Trump's actions & inactions, he's still an apologizer.

Mike Pence is still in love with Donald NPD Trump.

Near the end Pence said issuing & executing a search warrant against a former POTUS was unnecessary & uncalled for. When asked about previous efforts to have the documents returned he had no answer. Did Pence mean XPOTUSs in general, or NPD Trump specifically? The question wasn't asked; Pence would've danced around it.

Pence's right leg was twitching & twisting all through the interview. You don't need to be an expert to see Pence very carefully structuring some of his responses so that he didn’t lie, at least outright.

    And he's considering running 2024.

    That's a good article.

Hey, at least it's not someone from the Freedom (For White Hard Right Loonies) Caucus. Which doesn't really say much for the GOP HORs.

GOP wins slim House majority, complicating ambitious agenda

Of course, the GOP will have investigations...that's all they have any more.
No policy, no solutions...all Benghazi, all decoys, all grandstanding. Dick Dastardly's all
    No adults in control.

Meanwhile man who would be Speaker may be potentially indicted for his OWN role of Jan 6th and activities before and after.
    I smell a rat.

How many caucuses do the Repubs have in the House ?

GOP centrists prepare to 'flex our muscles'

A good look at some of the organized GOP factions in the House.

Will this mean in-fighting will stop useful legislation (other than must pass)?

Are we in for a two year long stalemate after stalemate?

Maybe some alliances will be formed with Dems when necessary?

Will this stop/slow down some of the "payback" investigations?

GOP's lackluster fundraising spurs post-election infighting

A detailed article on campaign spending.

One very interesting part of the article is how stingy NPD Trump was when giving money to the candidates he forced on the GOP, $15M out of $100M. I'm curious to know why he's hanging onto that money, possibly for his 2024 run. What are legalties involved with "... a committee designed to help other candidates."?

5 investigations House Republicans have promised

Legitimate concerns, or political sourgrapes/payback? Two stand out to me.

The one that needs to be dropped: Hunter Biden.
Enough already. Yes, he received a sweet deal because his father is an influential politician. How many hundreds (thousands) of relatives of high ranking politicians have done so? Are the Republicans willing to put their own under the microscope?

A potential cesspool for Repubs: Covid-19 origins.
Do they seriously want look into the early days of Covid? Wouldn't the lack of effort to find the origin of Covid reflect extremely poorly on the Trump admin, & the Repub leaders who followed his do-nothing lead?

Sen. Raphael Warnock defeats scandal-prone Herschel Walker in Georgia Senate runoff — Los Angeles Times

    No shit!

That there was even a runoff or race now, shows how pathetic the US voter spectrum has become.

Uhhh, character judgement skills, y’all???

    Shouldn’t have even close.
The GOP should have known better
Hell, they should have said GTFO

    Come’on!!! Figure IT out!!!

    GOP:
    - the stupid party
    - top with racists
    - top with pedos
    - best with corruption
    - facts be damned
    - integrity be damned

Somethings WRONG if y’havta explain things
Rationalize them. Put major spin on.
    And so on…

Haven’t y’all realized yet how low you’ve become.
    Get yo shit together.

In the meantime, you should be GLAD the Dems won.
Again, it shows that “some” Republicans are…

    Think about it.

Both races were very close...which doesn't say much for GA voters.

Georgia loss fuels GOP divisions over Trump — The Hill

Yes, yesss…FEEL the anger flowing through you all
You’re in the DARK side. ;)

Talk about feeling some Schadenfreude
For us who’re totally pissed at the current GOP
And their bile, swamp behavior and shenanigans.

    There’s some serious karma
    And frankly, deserving
    And could have been predictable

However Georgia voter unfortunately made it very unpredictable
Which means “the Devil” is now in Georgia
Alive and well in many MAGA volume states
And full of a bunch of dupes too

    Sad for America
    We’re our own worst enemy

    We’re just barely treading water
There a HUGE volume of citizens that are catering for the “Darkside”

    Ashame
This is why we can’t have nice things
A lot of us are a bunch of Jar Jar Binks

If the GOP is serious about shaking NPD Trump, they should consider trying to convince some of his closest aides & confidants to tell the truth about NPD Trump's activities while serving as POTUS. Getting him banned from public office would be good for the GOP (and the US, and the world).
