The new Giants, yet again, reverted to the old Giants. I just love how garbage time scores make games look close.

At least the Vikings got back on track; I should say it was great to see the Patriots lose. The lead changed so many times I didn’t realize the Pats got shutout in the 4th quarter.

Teams shouldn't count a game against the Lions as an automatic win.

The Texans are going to start Kyle Allen at QB, benching Davis Mills. Yawn. Allen is 26 years old, now with his third NFL team. He & Mills have similar stats. But Mills ranks 30 or 31 among 32 starting QBs, so yeah something has to be done.

Just as long as the Texans don't screw up their draft position.

    College...
Damned UH Cougars were favored by 12, IIRC. Lost by seven to Tulsa.
Interesting note: The Cougs are 3rd in the nation in TDs scored. Note this name: Doug Belk is (currently, not for long??) the Cougs defensive coordinator.

    To make the above worse...
TAM Aggies upset the LSU Tigers.
    UT Longhorns also won.

    30-0 at halftime.

I think the Texans should bring back the old Oilers fight song, it would be easy enough to adapt it to the Texans. If you're lucky enough to have never heard it this sarcastic post won't mean much to you.

I absolutely hated the Columbia "Baby" Blue uniforms. That was the wussiest color in the NFL.

Bud Adams was known for several negative things, three of which were:
    $5.00 haircuts.
Suits at least 20 years old.
    His love of baby blue.

That old Oilers helmet was way cool though.

    In a minimalist way.

    Maybe .

The Edmonton Oilers (NHL) also have one of the coolest uniforms.
    Ironic?

    Edmonton Oilers.
    Denver Broncos.

Nothing about the Houston Oilers wussy blue uniforms comes anywhere close to cool.

The Browns are playing the Texans here. One of the announcers mentioned "a smattering of boos" when Watson took the field; I clearly heard a steady chorus of boos.

So far it's been a battle of offensive incompetence.

Texans were 1/12 on 3rd down. And as usual garbage time made the score appear much closer than it was, & padded Allen's stats.

I hope Lamar Jackson is OK. It would suck for the Ravens to repeat what happened last year.

I've mentioned this before... IMO Andy Reid is not a great coach, he has a history of underachieving given the talent he has worked with. Is it the Chiefs defense?

Last season some sports writers said the Bengals would be good this season, but would struggle because others teams would be better. Did anybody see the Bengals improving and making another SB run? Yes, a lot of things can happen over the rest of the regular season & in the POs.

Bills fans probably love the 49ers.

I don't want to know how the 'girls scored 33 points in the 4th quarter. At least the Eagles also won.

Yes Buffalo fans in general had a great weekend.
The Dolphins, Jets, and Chiefs all lost, putting us back at the #1 seed in the AFC.
And the Sabres even won at home last night.

I don't want the Texans to screw-up their draft position, but a win over the 'girls sure would be nice. Not that I'm actually optimistic.

I hadn't heard about Mayfield being waived, then claimed by the Rams. I hope Rams' fans don't read too much into his debut performance.

The Bills aren't looking so good.

    Neither are the Vikings.

Can the Ravens win without Jackson?

Part of me was glad to see Lovie Smith go for the TD rather than the FG which would've meant only a six point lead.

Part of me is totally POd at the way the wussy Texans lost late. They made the 'girls drive look too easy.

The first half of that Bills game was a complete shit show.
The first ten possessions ended in punts.
It only got slightly better in the second half.
The rain changed to snow but I think the wind quieted down a little.
    Still a W is a W, especially against a division opponent.
Tonight we root against the Fish.

Some late season wins by teams with crappy records are making the PO picture more complicated.

I hate that the Buccaneers (OK, namely Brady) will probably make the POs with a crappy record. If they don't get in, or get eliminated early, what will happen with Brady? My guess is the Bucs will be ready for a young long haul QB, & Brady will want a team ready to win now (for probably his last chance at even more glory).

The Oilers 32 point lead choke against the Bills will probably never be forgotten because it was PO game, with many viewers. But I do want to thank the Colts for blowing a 33 point lead over the Vikings to set the new NFL record.

Oilers, then the Falcons, & now the Colts.

The Texans almost pulled off the upset over the obviously lackadaisical cowgirls; can they upset the Chiefs? The Chiefs have looked vulnerable in several close wins, but I think the answer to the question is:  :p  :p  :p.

    I just realized something:

Matt Ryan was the QB who in the second half of SB 51 couldn't get enough first downs to keep the ball away from Tom Brady, or get field position for a FG attempt.

Matt Ryan was the Colts' QB yesterday. They scored 3 points in the second half.
