Fairbairn was 6 of 6 today, that's 18 points instead of 36 or 42, which concerns me. Do the Texans want to play the Steelers or the Ravens? I like the Ravens, but I'm thinking the Steelers might be the more beatable team. But losing to Bleach Drinker Rodgers would suck.

I hope Mayfield enjoys the extra vacation time.

I wouldn't want to be Tyler Loop. I hope people realize the Ravens ' record is what really kept them out of the POs, & that record was a mix of many things, not just a rookie kicker. I remember when FG attempts of over 40 yards were considered questionable.

The Steelers didn't beat the Ravens, the Ravens lost to the Steelers.

Now...can the Texans defense stop the Steelers offense? Judging from what I saw last night, definitely. Can Bleach Drinker Rodgers find a way to defeat the Texans? Very possibly.

I think you got the best (as in easiest) matchup for the first round.
The Steelers are a low quality playoff team. Everyone wanted to play them in the first round.

Now if Rodgers can knock the Texans out for us I'll owe him one, while still despising him as a human being.

The Texans owe the Bills some payback...or does The Comeback shame follow the Titans? The Comeback might be old news against a team that no longer exist, but it's still a lasting embarrassment.

I can see the Texans losing a low scoring game by one or two points. Settling for SIX fields goals against a mediocre Colts team is bad, and it's not like having Stroud play the 2nd half was going guarantee some TDs. In fact I think Davis Mills has actually been more productive for TDs.

While I'm not sold on Trevor Lawrence & the Jags, they are capable of beating the Bills.

    I read some interesting stats.
Josh Allen sucks as a road QB in PO games.
The Texans suck as a road team in the POs.

    Let's be fair to Josh.
The Bills have not been able to win road playoff games, there is no disputing that.
The statistics show that the Bills average 27.6 points per game in home playoff games.
On the road it's 27 PPG.
    No meaningful difference.

    The defense is the problem.
They allow 19.8 points per game in home playoff games, but a dismal 33.5 PPG on the road.

It's the D that needs to step up.

I wonder if there is a meaningful difference between
the teams that had to travel to Buffalo,
& the teams that hosted the Bills.

The above could apply to any team.
The wild card rounds intentionally favor
the top seeded teams in order to
    eliminate the weaker teams.

    Side note, or for example:
The Giants & Eli Manning won two SBS after winning wild card games.
IIRC, which I might not, they won on the road in every PO game.
And I believe it was their defense that won those games.

    ******
I'm considering posting a list of the PO games with a prediction for the winner.

But several years back someone, @Borla IIRC, organized something similar, but more detailed, for the regular season. I let the results get to me in a bad way.

Did I do a Yahoo! or ESPN fantasy pick league thing? Or was it just posts here? I honestly can't remember, but either are possible. Many years ago I used to do lots of online fantasy league things for fun on various online spaces.

I think it was just for folks here, but it was based on other similar things you had set up elsewhere.

That’s a an interesting observation and I hadn’t thought about it that way before.

    Can you believe the Bears?

Will the Rams make it back to the SB?

    Dear Eagles,
When you pay like shit, esp against an injury depleted team, you deserve to lose.

    Dear Josh Allen,
    Congrats! You effort was outstanding.

OK, Texans, you've seen what some of the other road teams can do.

I'm surprised by all of the close games. I bet the NFL is happy about no blowouts.

Why does it appear my response is going to be included in the quote, despite me writing it after the final quote? We'll see.

I was rooting against the Patriots.
I had no delusions about the Chargers actually winning.
The blame rests entirely on the Chargers offense.

    Win, Texans, win!

    Old Oilers vs Steelers rivalry.
    Seriously dislike Aaron "Innoculated" Rogers.
It's time for Mike Tomlin to coach a different NFL team.

Stroud picked one hell of a time to play like a shit brained rookie.

    My mood is turning foul.

    Yes, Texans!

30 - 6. Talk about a misleading score. I need to look up the stats.

    Defense.

At the end I was screaming "Don't let them phuqing score!". I wanted the Texans to stick Bleach Drinker with the worst performance of his career.

Time for the Steelerscto reboot. No more Rodgers. No more Tomlin.

If ABC wants to do a tribute to Aaron Rodgers -- who can be very arrogant, & honestly his overall career doesn't compare that well with other elite QBs -- they should do it separately from the football game where he sucked.

The end of the game was infuriating for Texans' fans.
All of the attention was on Rodgers.
    Not the winning team.
Not the defense that shut down Rodgers.
Dick riding & sucking at its most dedicated.

The last time I saw that much NFL fellatio was
the game dedicated as a tribute to Deion Sanders.

I went to bed at halftime and I was shocked when I saw the final score this morning.
Fuck Rodgers. He's a total asshole.
I feel for Tomlin. He is great coach but things have just stagnated there the last few years.

I think Tomlin is a very classy guy.
And the Steelers are a classy organization.

I think Tomlin & the Steelers will workout a retirement that is actually mutual, unlike many face saving "retirement" firings in the NFL

    More importantly...

How will the Texans do against the Patriots? I hope Stroud, and Stroud & Jake Andrews, get things sorted out.

The Bills at the Denver Broncos? I have no idea.
