    Haha. You said 'face-off.' ;)

Very true about the fun the writers have with the dialogue. It's as you explain, partially rooted in language familiar to us--then they add an idiosyncratic spin (spins?). It's elicited chuckles plenty of times when it's watched in my house. The unusual use of vulgarity in Spartacus adds a layer to the show that is not really alluded to heavily outside of fan forums, I suppose due to the inability of venues on and offline to print such language, lol.

I was just thinking last night, if and when Ashur is killed off in the series, will Lucretia be the one to do it?

Is it just me or does Lucretia looks a lot like Voyager's Captain Janeway? At certain angles I get memories of Voyager.

I can see it. The angular-ness of their facial features is a bit similar.
Lucretia, at least, is more fun than Janeway.

Lucretia rarely threatens. She is a woman of action!
I will really be surprised if 'Seppia,' whose mourning period for her (twin?) brother 'Seppius' appears to have resolved, makes it past the end of this season.

  10. And if I was honest, she is the only reason I read this thread, and is the only reason I would watch this show - if I had cable. :)

    Hi, Fangirl

I've just finished watching Episode 10, and in order to avoid writing spoilers or hinting at them, all I can say is "!! Well, Well, Well ..... My Goodness!"

As usual, I enjoyed it very much :)

The season 2 finale of Spartacus: Vengeance was very, very good. I'm going to watch it again. Lucy Lawless was what drew me in, too. With her demise and following my photos of the best kills from the episode 10 Spartacus finale, I'm wrapping up my commitment to the show. Showrunner Steven DeKnight says he is going to bring in some new actresses, that they've cast Caesar and the general (to-be) that eventually defeats Sparty. I just don't have any interest in watching the rest of this chapter in Roman history play out. There is no happy ending and no Lucy and therefore no me, either. I still have cool Lucy shots to post here, tho'.

    Best Kills:
What Naevia lacked in ability she made up for in determination. It took her 4 whacks to finally severe Ashur's head.
